It's over the course of 38 games rather than a one-off lucky break, so it's difficult to argue against that. Barton's idiocy and their failure to hold a lead against this season's most prolific team aren't valid justifications for relegation in themselves.

Over the course of the season I think they do deserve to stay up. They have been absolutely abysmal in some games but great in others. I think Jamie Mackie deserves a lot of praise for helping them stay up, he's chipped in with some important goals and has never gave up.
