He did and he does. I'm not surprised we're hesitating on the Moreno deal when we already have a top, top left back on our books.El_indian wrote:I've only seen highlights but didn't Glen play at LB?

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Johnson wasn't exceptional at all. He just wasn't as bad as he normally is.
The problem is, because he's so consistently awful these days, when he has an average performance, it looks much better than it should.
I've seen enough AIDs performances from him over the last 2 years (probably in at least 90% of his matches) to solidify my opinion that he needs to get the fuck out of this Club.
Terrible, terrible footballer. Woeful in both defence and attack. What made him good before, was his ability to beat men consistently and assist/score goals. He doesn't even do that anymore. In fact, it's a rarity to see him beat ONE player all game now. 99% of the time, the ball just hits the defender and he carries on running another 2 metres before realising he doesn't have the ball anymore and turns back. of course, by then, the opposition are halfway down the pitch.
What a cunt this guy is.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Good to see Liverpool have learnt from the criticism over signing an elderly striker to replace Suarez. Watch out Lambert!

Some fans are objecting to the signing on a moral basis.

Well you can't be having a morally questionable striker besmirching the great Anfield shirt, can you?

Looks like we could be in for Eto. Would be a fucking joke if we replaced Suarez with Lambert and Eto.

Reeks of desperation, no need for us to hang around and dig this mess. Might as well throw big money now.

Which big money strikers do you think would go to Liverpool?

We've made it to the big time bro, can't think of many who wouldn't want the glitz and glam. And then there's the city.ResurrectionRooney wrote:Eternal Witcher wrote:Reeks of desperation, no need for us to hang around and dig this mess. Might as well throw big money now.

Moreno fee agreed, finally. £12 million being reported. Lovely.
Really happy with our business so far. Lambert takes the shine off it, though.

£12m would be about right for Moreno. £20m would have been ridiculous fee to pay for him.
Kelly's going to Crystal Palace for a ridiculously low fee of £1.5m. Doubt we will get rid of Johnson now

Johnson will be third choice anyway, no worries. Manquillo > Flanni Alves > Johnson.

This leaves us with Manquillo, Johnson, Flanagan, Enrique, Moreno. We are bound to get rid of one, and with Flanagan's being rejected by over a dozen League One & League Two sides last season, we are probably going to have to say goodbye to El Toro or Glen.Scouser_Dave wrote:£12m would be about right for Moreno. £20m would have been ridiculous fee to pay for him.

I don't know what Spongerobert thinks he is doing, getting involved in the only conflict more eternal and deadly than the Israel/Palestine disagreements.

I hope you're kidding, because that's definitely not the case. Our full backs are better in both quality and depth. Particularly on the left hand side.
If you're being serious, then let's see if your opinion is the same, say, half way through the season. I don't think you realise how good Moreno is (lol at thinking Gibbs is better than him) and Manquillo looks like a very shrewed signing who could potentially be better than Debunchy pretty quickly, who's very average and almost 30 already. I fully expect Chambers to tie down a place ahead of him very soon.
That's without even mentioning Enrique, Johnson and Flanagan.

Mentions Enrique as "strength in depth", laughs at Monreal. Which of those two has 16 Spanish caps and which has none?
