True, I just guess from reputation usually.

Probably another sad case of age fraud. *tsk* *tsk*Zzonked wrote:Scuba Steve wrote:Torres --> Milan on a loan. 2 year loan.
Such a fall from grace. £50m in 2011 and now he's off on a 2 year loan that I assume will run him to the end of his contract so essentially getting back a transfer fee of £0.
I think this kinda puts a dent in the whole "form is temporary, class is permanent" line cause he's never got his class back.
He got a TOTS on Ultimate Team, so I assume he's good. Also the main reason I knew James was good for Porto and Monaco.Zzonked wrote:How good is Benatia? I'll be honest, I'd never really heard of him before last season. I don't care about Serie A at all though, so maybe that's why.

I've thought that is another counter argument to that saying too.

Well its not like he was poor at Atletico before he got to Liverpool, he was excellent for about 6 years straight.
I dont understand why people think there's a huge mystery about what happened with Torres, he suffered a serious knee injury at the World Cup, lost some pace and never recovered. Even in his last 6 months at Liverpool he was quite hit and miss.

People always say this. It's bullshit. The fact of the matter is, he was actually still good and still scoring nice goals.
For example:
Don't forget we were playing under Hodgson. He scored 9 PL goals for in his final half season for us. Then he went to Chelsea and only scored ONE.
9 goals in half a Premier League season is not bad. Consider that in his previous 3 full seasons for us, he had scored 18, 14 and 24, so he was on course to score maybe 18?
He should never have left. It was a mistake. Sure, he won the European Cup and the League, but at what cost? He's a joke now. He went from bing adored and idolised at Atletico Madrid and Liverpool to being a laughing stock at Chelsea.
For me, it's all down to confidence.

He was scoring goals, but his form was erratic and he was experiencing a loss of form previously unseen, besides perhaps the 08/09 season when he had two serious injuries that forced him to miss half of the season.Scott_LFC wrote:Sean wrote:

He was playing every game and scored at home against a load of teams that were relegation fodder.Scott_LFC wrote:Sean wrote:
