Lallana is a good player, I think if you sign him he will definitely win you over when he plays. Link up play is great, plus he seems to have scored quite a few this year.

Don't think Ross Barkley will go to Liverpool, not that I think he'll leave Everton at all this window.

Sterling has scored the same number of goals as Lallana, and that's with hardly featuring until December. I wouldn't really like to see Coutinho replaced by Lallana, either. If we are to buy a player in that attacking position, I'd rather we got someone who would push Coutinho/Sterling down to the bench, instead of someone who will probably end up as back up to them.
If we had to get someone as back up to them, I'd rather it was Barkley. But ofc he wouldn't move here. He's younger and is pretty exciting to watch. With some fine-tuning, he could be amazing.

The Lallana signing doesn't make much sense to be unless you're selling an extremely valuable attacker, otherwise I'd expect pretty much your entire transfer budget to be spent replacing all of your crap defenders, a transfer budget that wouldn't be that large anyway considering FFP and your existing financial doping.

Are there any rumours for defensive targets though? I don't know that many top defensive players that are available for transfer. City have been linked with Mangala for a while though.

Not that I know of, but there should be. I'm sure there are defenders who are as good as Lallana who Liverpool could target who would actually improve them. It's very questionable whether Lallana would do that unless you're taking that vile animal out of the equation.

I imagine we are working to get fullbacks before central defenders.

I don't know if it's just me, but most good defensive signings are relatively unknown when they are first signed.
I can't remember the last time a defender moved to a club with it already known that he was world class, or something.

Thiago Silva to PSG is the most recent big one I can think of.

I know a more recent one but it still upsets me to talk about it.

Sheasy's most dominant performances came at full back, like when he dominated Thierry Henry in Rome, so I don't think of him as a centre back. Vidic is who I was thinking of.

You've been very fortunate with referee decisions this season.

Liverpool
I look forward to seeing us buy new full-backs. Pretty excited about the summer transfer window, now that we've actually got CL football (don't even have to qualify, too).
Looking forward to the World Cup, also.

You can thank Captain Fantastic for that, fucked us right over.Keyser Söze wrote:Well done on bottling it so spectacularly
Kinda glad we ended up drawing CP, honestly was fucking shocking at the time losing a three goal lead, but it makes losing the title not on GD which is easier to swallow imo. I'm still flabbergasted by the decision to try to blow them out, we were never in a million years going to catch City's GD, just had to get maximum points to keep the pressure on and hope they drew someone. Instead we fucked up and made them only need a draw at home against the mighty West Ham. Fuck me.
Obviously still happy with the season but its bittersweet as we had it in our hands with 3 games to go. too bad we'll probably fall into a struggle for just fourth place next season. That's what this club does. Even when you achieve your goal you still get let down in some way.

Cool gifs guys, although they don't really work as no one was celebrating as if we'd won. Good effort though.
Massive respeck for studge. Won't be in contention next year but still, this is what I like to hear.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
LMAO all of those are a stretch. I'll give you the first I guess but...
1) the chant says we're going to win, not we've won. I don't like it because you look stupid when it doesn't happen, but I've heard a good argument for it. Basically if you don't have some fun cheering along the way, then when can you use that, when you've won? Then it doesn't fit. It's a fun little chant to do and lets them have hope that the premiership might come to their club in their lifetime (Though it won't).
2)I think you're purposefully misinterpreting that to back you up. Heavy celebrations after that game were for clearing a massive hurdle towards the title and on the anniversary of Hillsborough as well. It wasn't a celebration that the title was theirs. If you even watched the clip, it has Captain Magnifico saying "listen lads, don't fuck up from here on out". Clearly not taking the win for granted. Too bad he didn't take his own advice.
3) A picture of Suarez. Nice.

1) Thanks for admitting you're wrong.
2) "This does not fucking slip now" (lol) sounds to me like he's saying you've won it and you're not going to lose it.
3) That picture is from the game against Crystal Palace, after he scored to put you three goals up he ran to get the ball and take it back to the centre circle so you could run up the score. That turned out brilliantly.

In all fairness Dagbon, Scott and almost every other fan outside this forum thought they had it won after they beat City.
