What? He is. He's a defensive midfielder.

Poor Scott. You lose again. Better luck next time.

he was supposed to be the next Breitner/Effenberg/Matthäus on the back of that tournament but when he got older his physical advantage got weaker and he had to rely more on his skill...turns out he wasn't as skilled as expected.
i never saw him play in the 4th division but i saw him in friendlies and for the german youth NT -- i used to hype future GOAT Yesil as well, i think Sarmz remembers -- and he never reached the same level of performance he did in that tourney. according to the opinions of a select group of people who i trust [ITK IMO], Can was average at best in the 4th division. Never had a future at Bayern IMO, the only people who believe that are the spastics who think Germans have a divine right to play at Bayern regardless of quality and the spastics who think Bayern youth >>> foreign youth, lol
the guy goes to Leverkusen...demands the #10 shirt. mfw dat modesty. the guy stunts like he's Zidane when he's fucking Le Tallec lmfao, he tries to play offensively and he's decent at that nowadays from what I've seen. he lacks football IQ but he's huge physically. in the Mule League that will bode well, look at the shit players who have excelled in Mule League solely based on their physical attributes
he's overrated, a second-tier talent and Bayern's sloppy seconds essentially. i dunno how much Liverpool paid for him but i'll be surprised if he lives up to the initial level he showed as a 17 (?) year old... but he plays in the Mule League where midfield = cancer so he'll be alright
Problem is he did actually watch him play, you faggot I remember him hyping up Yesil and Can on EA 3 years ago.Scott_LFC wrote:Vela wrote:i was one of the Can victims IMO. he was a GOAT at one of the major youth tourneys, I think the 2010 U19 World Cup or something along those lines. like a Yaya Touré but not black and he ran a lot more. physically bullied kids his age.

You do realise that no-one actually believes you when you say you've watched so-and-so at youth level?
Your long winded post, accompanied with the clever (or not so clever) admission of being wrong to begin with, isn't fooling anyone.
At the end of the day, he's only 20 years old. It's way too early to judge him fully. How many 20 year old (or younger) midfielders are currently pulling up trees for above mid-table Clubs? I defy you to name 10.
Before anyone starts, I would have said the same had he posted nothing but praise.

Dat defensive midfielder
