Mourinho and all the Chav$ are such twats, I hope their fucking bus crashes and no one is seriously injured, but they are forced to put out their youth squad for the rest of the year. Fuck him and his bullshit anti-football. Brendo stuck it to him in the post-match presser.

He was upset that Mourinho didn't come and play expansive football so that we could trolley them.menalawyerguy wrote:What'd he say?Mason19294828838822 wrote:Mourinho and all the Chav$ are such twats, I hope their fucking bus crashes and no one is seriously injured, but they are forced to put out their youth squad for the rest of the year. In all honesty even if you guys don't win the title, 2nd is pretty good progress all things considered. It's not over yet though, lets see how the rest of the season pans out. I'm still nervous.

I don't need to. We're still top of the League, which speaks for itself and we will be finishing above Arsenal

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
It is, especially considering they've been a mid-table team for the last several seasons. However, I get the sense that this season was a temporary downward blip for both Chelsea and Man City and that both teams will be much better next year and several years to come. This might be the only window of opportunity Liverpool get for quite some time.Zzonked wrote:In all honesty even if you guys don't win the title, 2nd is pretty good progress all things considered. Yep, Chelsea will be unstoppable with Costa or another Drogba-esque striker who will destroy the smaller teams. Man City will spend into 9 digits again. We'll probably buy one half-decent winger and bring back Borini and call it a summer.menalawyerguy wrote:It is, especially considering they've been a mid-table team for the last several seasons. This is certainly not a downward blip for Chelsea. They finished 3rd with 75 points last season. The season before that, they finished 5th with 64 points. They currently stand 2nd with 78 points. The only way they've gone, is upwards.
Same could potentially be said of City too. They finished with 78 points in 2nd place last season, this season they sit at 3rd with 74 points and have a game in hand over Liverpool and Chelsea.
Arsenal stand to finish with a higher points total too, as do Everton. The only team that has dipped, is Man United, and it was a massive dip.
I do agree that we won't get another shot like this, though. Although Keyser apparently begs to differ.

The title would still be ours if Mannone hadn't suspiciously let the ball through his arms.

Just watched Ba's goal again. Absolutely shit goalkeeping by Mignolet.

If you fuck this up, you'll never get a better chance. 5 points clear with 3 games to go, only needing to draw against a heavily weakened Chelsea team to win the leagueScott_LFC wrote:menalawyerguy wrote:

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
I suppose "downward blip" wasn't the best choice of words. The point being that I don't think Chelsea or Man City were as good as they should have been. I see them improving a lot next season and I would expect them to spend the most money. Liverpool, on the other hand, has over-achieved a bit this season. So if they don't take advantage this season, it might be a while before they get another look at the tile like this one.Scott_LFC wrote:menalawyerguy wrote:

I don't think we have over-acheived. It's not like have been getting lucky, etc. We've genuinely been playing the best football in the League, and I reckon we will build on it with the better players we will be able to sign this summer.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
You've deserved everything you've gotten, but I feel like a few players have played above themselves. We'll see how the summer goes but I would be shocked if you spent money like Man City or Chelsea will. Plus, this is the first season with new managers for each of those teams. They'll be more acclimated to the new managers than they were this season. It's gonna be tough to keep up with them next year.

I'd be surprised if Liverpool finish in the top 4 next season. CL fixtures will cripple them.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
With The Moyes Crisis over, City building, Chelsea getting a striker, Arsenal supposedly spending and Liverpool's wage spending about to balloon barring player sales, I think this is the best chance they've had for 12 years and the best they will ever have for another decade.
Everything has fallen into place this season, catastrophic mistakes from opponents in title deciders, The Moyes Crisis, so many penalties (reminiscent of 2008/09) including three in one match, no serious injuries, no external fixtures, such good form from so many players, this season is the peak, just like 2009 and 2002 were. There will be a dramatic fall after this.

We will probably discover that Rodgers is an average manager after all as well.

I thought the commentators on Sky were really harsh on Liverpool. After that shocking corner late on from your No. 9 Neville and Tyler kept calling him a spaz.

Rodgers says anyone can set up a defensive team but Liverpool know only how to attack. How does that square?

You know what he means. We could probably defend well if we played 10 men behind the ball.
