Why would you expect him not to win it this season, why would that be a surprise ? :scratch:The best manager in the PL winning manager of the month shouldn't surprise anyone.Scott M wrote:I am surprised because I did not expect him to win a Manager of the month award this season.Keyser Söze wrote:Why ? I "huge chunk" of our fan base wasn't calling for him to be sacked. The supporters trust simply said that given the trophy drought in recent seasons, the exodus of key players, high ticket prices and the lack of investment (particularly during a summer when we were promised escalating spending power) that it was inappropriate for Gazidis to talk about extending his contract at the time.
I didn't agree with the supporters trust at the time and I've been proven right so far, but at the same time I can understand why they came out with a statement like that. If I was paying the ticket prices they do on a regular basis then maybe I would have seen things differently but I've always been a massive fan of Wenger regardless of the clubs situation.
I also don't see how that matters, managers that have gone on to be sacked or gotten their clubs relegated have won manager of the month in the past. Its irrespective of what happens in a 38 game season, I'm sure every Arsenal fan not matter if they wanted him sacked or not would agree that he was more than capable of getting 4 consecutive good result in the league.

Rodgers didn't win one last season, did you expect him to continue that trend ? When Brian McDermott won it last season did you expect him to keep Reading up and then win one this season ? I guess you expect David Moyes and AVB to win manager of the month twice every season from now on. I suppose by your logic the same managers (if they are still managing in the league) will win manager of the month every season.Scott M wrote:Well, he didn't win one last season, so I expected him to continue that trend.

My comment was a continuation of Glen's joke about Giroud.
One would think you'd be capable of picking up on that.
Evidently not.
On an unrelated side note, why is your grammar getting worse and worse these days?

You'll forgive me if I don't take grammar tips from someone that makes mistakes like this
Scott M wrote:
Then he says we should play with 10 players including Henderson (who equates to 2 extra players on top of himself) to make it fair, but that equates to 12 players and thus, a 1 player advantage over the 11 players of the opposition.

Granted, I went on the wind up a little bit, but after seeing that you were taking it so seriously, I decided enough was enough.
"Says" should have been "said". That's a very rare mistake, I must say. Normally, my grammar is impeccable.
However, you make mistakes in a lot of your posts and they seem to have been getting worse lately, which is why I asked about it.
I mean, the spaces before a question mark is baffling.

Stop bullshitting. Other members in the past have commented on how you'll engage in serious discussions then when proven wrong you'll play the ' I was winding you up' card.
Next time you comment on grammar don't make such moronic mistakes. I'm fine with making mistakes but I don't go around commenting on grammar because I know in such a relaxed environment people (and myself) are going make mistakes.

Like I said, believe what you want. Whatever makes you happy, because I don't really care enough.
There is no need to get aggressive and defensive on the grammar subject. I was just wondering why your grammar was seemingly getting worse.
I don't think a relaxed environment plays a part on someone's grammar. A person with good grammar naturally types correctly. I make no effort grammar-wise, yet my grammar is more or less perfect apart from the odd "slipped through the net" mistake that may happen maybe once every few months.
You either have good grammar and thus, your mistakes are extremely rare, or you have a weak grasp on the concept of grammar and make mistakes on a regular basis.
You fall into the latter category.

If anything you've been the one being defensive and trying justify your error and nitpicking at spaces and whatnot You don't know the difference between the past and present tense, that is someone with a weak grasp of grammar.

How have I tried to justify my error? I admitted to making the mistake and I've said what it should have been. I don't see any attempts to justify it. It's a mistake, simple as that. It won't happen again.
I don't know the difference between past and present tense? Really? How did I acknowledge that it was a mistake then? How did I know which word should have been used?
If I were to go through your last 20 posts, and you went through mine, I guarantee your posts would be filled with mistakes, whereas, you'd struggle to find any mistakes in mine, which proves I'm more grammatically capable than you.

In the League. Several Arsenal fans on here said that Giroud would easily score 20+ goals, especially because he has the likes of Ozil and Cazorla feeding him.
One of them attempted to bet me £500 on it, but of course, I couldn't confirm the bet when that person couldn't put his money where his mouth is and prove that he actually has that much to spend. I offered for a 3rd party to hold onto his and my money until the season was over, but he declined
In hindsight, they must be feeling pretty fucking thick All Arsenal fans seem to do these days is slate Giroud
