Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
We were top longer than anyone else at 160 something days and that won't be topped. I think that's almost or even more than double that of our nearest challengers Chelsea I knew we were never going to win it but to be in danger of not even finishing 4th is ridiculous. 3rd and the FA Cup would have been a great season but 4th, the FA Cup and all the drubbings we've been handed out would be meh at best. Anything less than that and we will comfortably have had the worst season of any PL club.

And beside all that, this is probably the most dislikable Arsenal squad I've ever watched. Bar Koscielny and Flamini and maybe Mertesacker and Sagna, I hate everyone else.

4th and FA Cup would still be a great achievement considering all you've done for the last decade is finish in the top 4 with no trophies.

But the FA Cup has become almost a tinpot trophy when you have Sheffield United, Wigan and Hull left in it. The main reason this season been so disappointing is because we haven't beaten any big teams. Or to put it better, we haven't had any exciting results.

Bet Suarez is so glad he didn't force his way to Arsenal in the end What a fucking mistake that would have been,

Steady, you beat Spurs 1-0 at WHL. Massive result, which ended up with your players celebrating with selfies to mark the occasion
You also beat the current League leaders comfortably 2-0 at your place.

In a hypothetical situation where if he had moved to Arsenal and his goalscoring form would be identical to that of his current Liverpool one, then yes he probably is glad because signing him wouldn't make a difference since we need a big game player.

Maybe if I lived in Islington then I'd give a fuck. Spurs only concern me when they're a direct rival for league positions/silverware or when they become a better team than us.

They did 3-4 games ago. At this exact moment in time they don't.

The league did us dirty this year, give us an easy schedule early.. build up a lead, then mash up all the top club games late in the season + fatigue, so we start to fall and the papers can have their annual go at us.
Sure we didn't help things with our lazy and timid performances, but it sure did have something to do with it. False sense of security and dominance for sure.
Basically, this season was literally like every other season, for us, yet a few other clubs decided to be lethal forces as well for the top 4/5. FA Cup will be a great achievement for us, and even though I think we all know nothing will change in our club on and off the pitch, need to back them.
Look forward to, "just wait for the future, players coming up, big signings in summer."
Naaaaaaaaaaaah, nothing will change. We are who we are. Boys playing a mans game.
Oxlade-Chamberlain deserves better.
Also, if Suarez did move to Arsenal before the season started, Liverpool wouldn't be anywhere near the Top 4, and Arsenal would currently be top.

You're going to lost to Wigan. I desperately want Arsenal to win the cup, but you've just been unbelievably poor.

When I said something like that, back when you were top, halfway through the fixture list "It's only because of the fixtures you've had so far" etc, all you Arsenal fans were saying stuff like "we've all had to play the same teams", etc. I then mentioned this March/April block of games several times and said this is where you will collapse, and you all said you'd still be ahead of Liverpool after that block of games
Your last comment is pretty disrespectful to Liverpool and how Rodgers has got us playing. We did fine without Suarez for the first few games of the season. We wouldn't be first right now, I doubt, but I think we'd still be in the top 4, just because of the way that Rodgers has us playing. We are far from a one man team, when you factor in the likes of Sturridge, Sterling, Coutinho and Gerrard.
Doubt Arsenal would be first with Suarez, tbh. You've had too many injuries and you always bottle it/are mentality weak. You don't really have the same playing style as us either, which may not suit Suarez as much.
Besides I thought Suarez wasn't even that good because he doesn't perform in the big games and only scores pointless goals when the game is already won

In a hypothetical situation where Suarez exactly transferred his current Liverpool form, yes he'd be useless for use. I think Phadunkin Donuts is under the impression that at Arsenal he'd sort out that side of his game.

The West Ham result was extremely fortunate, at least one of the penalties was incorrectly given.
