Out of interest, can we still sign players from Russia/any other leagues, or is it only sales that can happen?

Chamakh will not leave. He is our back up striker now but this time it's to a player far inferior to the one last year. lool

Yea I was joking Razz Not only that, he seems to get worse every time I see him. This time last year it wasn't completely awful that he was our backup striker, now it's like having 10 men.

Can't remember the last time he scored tbh

I live in Chicago.. the Major League baseball team here is called the Chicago Cubs.

They haven't won the league in 108 years.

So I've been dealing with this sort of mindset and depression and rage for a very very long time.

They've had a lot of Arsenal type moments though.

    7-game series.. up 3-0.. losing 4 straight.

A pop-up to end the game and win the series.. he misses it, run scores, we lose.

Seriously.. it's like watching the American Arsenal.

Cubs have a lot of history.. and have had a lot of league winning teams.. they just always choked and came up short.

But yeah.. I'm not into the team since I haven't been here long enough.. but it's the talk of the town every single day.. It's Arsenal

I know it's not great that we didn't sign anybody but not signing one of Essien, Sahin or Cabaye (Or whoever else we were linked with) doesn't mean we're going to come 5th all of a sudden.

    Depends what your view is.

If we didn't sell Song, then I would be alright, but the fact that we sold him for no real reason by the looks of it, and didn't replace him at all, is what has topped it for me.

Just look at it like this:
Cazorla takes Song's place in the squad
Podolski and Giroud take their places in the squad over Van Flawed.

I thought we'd finish out of the top 4 before today. I just think Wenger can't keep pulling off these miracles. One man played a huge part in our 3rd placed finish last season and the other teams around us just kept fucking up. We've won 2 games in our last 10.

We shouldn't be fighting for 4th, that's the point really. Granted we're behind the Manchesters, but we could have been fighting for at least 3rd and another trophy. Now we don't have enough depth to win a cup knowing we wont start our regulars, and Chelsea are too far ahead now it looks.

Also, it's worrying how close Spurs are now. We needed 2 players really.

Yea but Cazorla won't take Songs place in the starting XI.

I think we've replaced RvP okay with balance, but we've not replaced Song at all.

It's not optimum but it's not terrible either. Diaby and Wilshere will be back and Coquelin has another year of experience under his belt. He's 21 now so he's either showing enough promise to be close to the first team or he's just not good enough. Obviously Wenger thinks it's the former and we should trust his judgement. All in all I think we'll be alright. Third or fourth again relatively comfortably. Nothing more, nothing less.

At this point I think Tottenham will claim 4th easily over us. Chelsea 2nd, United 3rd, Tottenham 4th, and then Arsenal somewhere below that unless we have some sort of crazy good run of fortune.
