FOLLOWING the administration of RFC 2012 plc (formerly the Rangers Football Club plc) on 14 February 2012, The Rangers Football Club Ltd ("RFC") and JJB Sports plc ("JJB") can today confirm that they have reached agreement on the terms of a settlement agreement regarding the future licensing and manufacturing of the Rangers football kit.
Pursuant to the terms of the settlement agreement, JJB has agreed to transfer to RFC the operation of the Rangers retail megastore at Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow and the right to all trademarks and licence to manufacture the Rangers football kit. The transfer of the Rangers retail megastore is now complete.
JJB will continue to stock the Rangers football kit for the duration of the 2012/2013 football league season.

Newco Rangers reach club merchandise retail agreement with Sports Direct
By Mike Farrell 22 August 2012 15:49 BST
Newco Rangers have reached a retail agreement with Sports Direct over selling club merchandise.
The 'oldco' club had previously struck a ten-year retail deal with JJB in 2006 worth an initial £18m to become the official kit manufacturer and seller for Rangers.
However, as a result of the oldco being consigned to liquidation after the sale of the club’s assets to the Sevco consortium led by Charles Green, the deal was renegotiated with the newco, which led to it being withdrawn.
On Wednesday Rangers newco announced that it was taking over the running of the club’s Ibrox megastore through a subsidiary company called Rangers Retail Limited, which is jointly run by Sports Direct, the retailer set up by Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley.

It was us who wanted to cancel the deal to allow Mike Ashley's Sports Direct to take over, this has been known for weeks.
The deal has not been withdrawn, they will continue to stock our kits. We've just removed them from their position in our club shop and as official retailer.
Sports Direct are the UK's largest sporting retailer.
JJB are struggling to stay afloat.
Sports Direct revenue: £1.6billion (2011).
