Re: npower Football League Thread
McCammon probably felt like that because he was the shittest player for Gillingham in the past 10 years. Quite injury prone too.
Doesn't take away the fact though if Scally did treat him differently, then McCammon was correct. But I wouldn't put it past Scally. I don't understand how he'd get treated different, yet a few other black players didn't? Even Akinfenwa was there at the time.

Nobody would do anything bad to Akinfenwa.

John, you've probably been to Preston before, there's a good pub which lets in home and away fans called The Sumners. Basically head straight past Deepdale, through the traffic lights, past Sainsbury's and it''s at the top of the road on the right (not the one on the left, think that's the one Trent was referring too, the Garrison)

Only been on a Tuesday so by the time we'd finished work and driven over it was pretty much time for kick off, didn't go into town. Coming on the train so I'll go on google maps and see where that pub is from the station!Ben 10 wrote:Uncle John from Jamaica wrote:Looking forward to Preston away on Saturday!Uncle John from Jamaica wrote:Need Ben to come on, want to know where it's best for away fans to have a few beers in Preston.Trent wrote:

Train station.....areyou getting a taxi or walking? There's a few pubs in town but I wouldn't be able to name them....if you're walking, it's a good few miles to the stadium

Go to the pub I was talking about, they sell ok food there lol. I had chips and gravy because the food in Deepdale is so awful and expensive.

It looks like the station's near the town centre so the plan will likely be walk into town to find a pub and somewhere to get a bit of dinner (something like Subway/McD's would do fine) and then if it's far to the ground get a taxi cause there's 4 of us so will be cheap.

There is a Mcdonalds about 5 minutes away in the shopping centre as I got kicked out of that place.

That might do the job then, after a large spoons breakfast I'll probably just get a chicken mayo to keep me going. Why did you get turfed out?

It was all to do with some litter which got the security guard peeved off.

If you leave the train station by the side exit, not the front where the train tickets are sold, go over the crossing and into the shopping centre, the Mcdonalds should be straight ahhead of you

Re: npower Football League Thread
I moved last Saturday and won't be getting internet installed until Monday so I'm using my phone probably won't update again until then - pain in the arse.
So we signed Clarkson and Baldvinsson. Looks as though we have agreed terms with a second center half Gary Kenneth. We sold Carayol today and Cheltenham are apparently set to sign Zebroski (unlucky ced).
Everything is so slow on my phone so I won't be back on until Monday.

Mark Yates is great at getting the best out of so called crap players that other clubs (fans) don't rate.
He signed a Dagenham reserve striker called Wesley Thomas and he scored 18 goals for us. Same with McGlashan where Aldershot fans warned us about him having no end product, and then he scores the winners in both play off legs against Torquay and sets up 2 goals. Mohamed who got 11 goals from the wing despite Swindon and Wimbledon fans labeling him as useless, and then there's Duffy who got 14 goals...
I don't think Yates has made a bad signing at his time with us.

Re: npower Football League Thread
RANGERS have given Atletico Madrid winger Elliot Kebbie the chance to win a move to Ibrox.
The English youngster has arrived at Auchenhowie so manager Ally McCoist can take a closer look at him.
Kebbie came through the ranks at Leeds United before the Spanish side paid compensation to lure him from Elland Road.
Anybody know anything about him?
Edit: just found a post by 'Ben' (Leeds Fan) from last season saying he was on trial at Barca before joining Atletico.

Signed Shaun Harrad on a season loan from Bury. Happy with that as he's proven at this level.

Joey Barton has joined Fleetwood on loan until January and his first competitive game will be against us at Whaddon Road on October 6th. Should be fun.
