Re: npower Football League Thread
You really care about this club to much. Everyone on that board are wasters who probably don't even go to our games. It's funny how you see us as rivals and our fans really don't give a fuck about Bury and think they're irrelevant.ShakerMatty wrote:http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=460&fid=12&sty=2&act=1&mid=2114390331

Knill game from Bury? I never knew that, I thought he came from Rotherham. I should have noticed after there fans had such a hissy fit over the fact he wanted to go to a club that was in the Championship at the time.Harrold wrote:Scunthorpe took Knill from Bury, you'd never know, Matty why have you never mentioned it?

Gillingham after Lee Hughes. I don't know a single person who likes him.

Allen's a wanker, signing all these mediocre players.Trent wrote:Martin Allen must do.Walcott wrote:Gillingham after Lee Hughes. I don't know a single person who likes him.
I think Hessenthaler is wary of Allen too because all these players are getting 1 year deals. Funny how Gillingham are still going for free transfers after couping £2m+ from selling a player too. Stingy chairman.

Re: npower Football League Thread
Just because you've got the money doesn't mean you should spend it. Our chairman confirmed we have one of the largest budgets in the league and so far we've signed 3 players for nothing and have been 3 of the best players so far in pre-season. We've also been linked with two defenders one who plays in the championship and one just got released after playing in the SPL one on loan and one for free. Both would be top players. Two trialists at least one would be one of the best strikers in the league. Not seen Broghammer to comment on him.
Some of the best transfers are often free ones.
Then there is other things the money could be spent on to steady the club etc. money made from transfers won't always be ready to use for the same purpose.

I probably wrote that to hide my disappointment that despite being told be have such a big budget we aren't spending it yet. Hope that changes sooner or later.Uncle John from Jamaica wrote:Harrold wrote:Just because you've got the money doesn't mean you should spend it. Re: npower Football League Thread
We've apparently had a bit rejected for Charlton striker Leon Clarke according to sky sports. Scored a lot for Chesterfield in league 2 but I have serious doubts over his attitude. Not sure how he'd fit in with the other lads who have a great work ethic. However, Yates has brought out the best in the majority of singings he's made.

I was unsure about it at first, but I have taken to it now. I'm also glad its not just some crappy template that several clubs have, giving us some identity.

Yours and ours are the only Errea kits I've seen for this season so I'm not sure what the template is.

Ours usually look pretty good. Last season away one wasn't great but that more to do with the colour.

No, the worst attitude I've ever seen from a player. All pace anyway. Funnily enough he was on trial last night for Newport but never came on.
