Great support there, but their away fan base seems a touch inconsistent to me. Sometimes they take shed loads, other times (like Oldham the other week) they just don't bother. Fair enough it was a cup game but it was quite close and they should have taken more.

I'm not sure on the numbers but on the night on Twitter they were getting a fair amount of stick, so I guess something far short of what they could have taken!

Talking of them anyway, I wonder how many tickets we will get at their place? Can get potentially up to 8k but it won't be that, the standard 3700ish allocation may be too small though. Hopefully we get 5k, should still be able to sell out that despite being a Friday night Sky match.

I like how you think 3.7K is too small yet we take like 1k lol.

1k isn't bad for a club your size compared to your home crowds though. I guess you take most to Hull, what's the usual number there?

Yeah it's good having a great away following but can be a pain with having to gamble on getting tickets, such as Brighton. Once they've deducted the away ST tickets, they split the rest with 80% for home ST holders to apply and 20% for members. It means there's only about 400 tickets for members to apply for so you have to be logged on at 10.15 bang on to get the best chance of being lucky!

The most we took last year was 2000 odd to Rochdale but we brought a few decent figures with us to Scunthorpe, Oldham, Preston and other places considering what we get at home.

We take like just over 2K at Hull. We take quite a few to Donny as well and we sell out on the odd time we face Grimsby.

We had like 4K at Crawley. We took 521, which is pretty good for somewhere as far as Crawley.

Nah, the Swindon inbred joke. We have a chant for them, it's pretty simple but it incorpartes their love of making love to their parents and their love of roundabouts.

We only had 2491 home fans today, which is pretty awful seeing as we're the only FL team in the county. I suppose if we get another big cup tie or get to another play off final again, all the floaters will return and then vanish again. Shame as Yates has put together one of our best ever sides in the FL.

Bristol Rovers have agreed terms with Leicester City to bring Tom Parkes to the club on a permanent deal subject to medical.

The defender, who spent almost four months on loan with Rovers last season, will join up with the squad later today, with a view to being involved in tomorrow night’s game against Barnet.

Parkes, who is a product of Leicester’s youth academy, joined up with Rovers in February last season, and went on to be influential in shoring up Rovers’ defence.

Manager Mark McGhee said: “We are delighted to be bringing Tom to the club.

“He is a left sided centre half which will give us great balance playing alongside either Garry Kenneth or Adam Virgo.

“He proved last season that he can play as well, and he will be a great addition to strengthen our defence.”

In December 2010 he went out on loan to League One side Yeovil Town and made two appearances for them in his month at Huish Park.

In March 2011, Parkes joined Burton Albion for a second loan spell until the end of the 2010/11 season.

He then joined Burton Albion again on a sixth month loan deal at the start of the 2011-12 season.

Unfortunately this came to a premature end after only three league games after Parkes suffered a broken ankle. He made his return in January as a substitute in a match against Plymouth Argyle.

Chairman Nick Higgs said: "We are delighted to have agreed terms with Leicester to bring Tom to the club on a permanent basis.

“He was very influential last season, and we see him as a fantastic prospect for the future.”

Tom will be given squad number 6.
hahaaa I never thought we'd get him back even on a loan deal. Was top class last season and Leicester were starting him pre-season.
