I don't follow his career closely, no. But his goal record for clubs is not that impressive imo. Great for Germany, but club level, not so great.

Podolski is undoubtedly better than Gervinho, Chamberlain, Rosicky and Ramsey who would normally play those positions. He scores goals and he assists quite a few for that shit team too.

He has all the ingredients to be a star player for us.
