    Just think that will happen.

I can also foresee Arsenal fans lambasting him for not living up to Van Persie's standard (if he leaves)

I think he'll be the next Chamakh.

Podolski won't play in the center unless he is the striker.

It seems like we are in the market for a DM as well, so I can't see Song, Rosicky or Arteta (Wilshere as well... Eventually) getting dropped to accommodate another forward.

No, by all means, enjoy your party. I'd be pleased with a new signing right now. But I can't help but think he'll be a flop. I think he'll start out well, like, grab 4 goals in 4-6 games, then from then on he'll be very average.

He will be nothing like Chamakh, his good first few months where he scored quite a few was quite uncharacteristic of him he wasn't known for scoring a lot for Bordeaux.

To be honest, I said it should be a good signing based off other people's comments about him, if I'm honest I don't watch him much, when I have he's been class though, and his statistics are great.

Really? That's a bit of a bargain. He's still pretty young, while also being a central player for both his club and his nation. Impressive deal if true.

That presumes that van Persie's leaving which is still very much undecided. You stated that you think he will flop even if van Persie stays. Can you please explain why you think that will be the case?

When Wilshere comes back, and if we buy another quality mid, there will be real competition for the midfielders to outdo each other, we won't have to "settle" for Ramsey in his current state, hell, he may even improve

I just think it will be the case. From what I've seen from Podolski, he isn't that brilliant and I have a feeling he'll struggle with the pace of the Premier League.

    How much is that?

Also, he's got fairly decent pace and stamina, and is quite physically strong. Why do you think he will struggle with the pace of the Premier League?

Will be very interesting to see how he does. He is undoubtedly a class player with a fuckload of experience at the top level of international football. If he doesn't do well, it will be puzzling to say the least

There was this rumour going around in Köln that Podolski isn't really the best trainer in the world, and that his work ethic leaves a lot to be desired. Ståle Solbakken said that was rubbish though, claiming he was the best of the bunch, so I dunno. If he is a tad lazy then it could be difficult, but surely someone of Podolski's pedigree would have to be successful? Arsenal's playing style might be difficult to adapt to, but he looks to have the talent to do so.

    I'm blabbering Laughing

I don't follow his career closely, no. But his goal record for clubs is not that impressive imo. Great for Germany, but club level, not so great.

You mean, a guess? An opinion is generally based on the facts you are aware of, which seemingly isn't many my dear Scotty

Unless you are claiming to make opinions without facts....which just makes no sense

He hasn't even watched him, that's what makes his 'opinion' funny.

Contributed to 63% of Cologne's league goals this season. A very shit team too.

Don't you think that it is a bit rash to base an entire opinion on one statistic without even interpreting it to a full extent?
