Lukas Podolski - if he joins Arsenal.

Lukas Podolski is in a Van Persie-esque situation, as the only goalscoring threat on their respective teams. However, Lukas does it with an even shoddier background act.

Lukas Podolski has 14 goals, and 4 assists in 16 Bundesliga games.
Robin van Persie has 17 goals, and 5 assists in 19 Premier League games.

They are roughly the same physically, as they are both 6'0, while Podolski weighs more, marginally. I believe that they could be one of the greatest strikeforces in Premier League history, as if you see Koln play, you would understand that Lukas Podolski is the best player in the Bundesliga this year.

Lukas Podolski is involved in 85% of Koln's goals in the 2011/2012 season.
Robin van Persie is involved in 62% of Arsenal's goals in the 2011/2012 season.

Also, Thierry Henry is there. Would be a great playmaker, and a pivotal asset to Arsenal. I would probably even watch Arsenal games if Podolski joins the team.

When Wilshere comes back Arteta will probably stay next to Song with Wilshere playing behind van Persie. Wilshere only played defensively last year to improve his overall game, he's an attacking mid by nature.

You judging it on that picture? Unless van Persies grown in the past year, which he hasn't, he's 6ft 1 max I think, low 6ft 1 too. Song is in the background so he will be shorter, van Persies on his tip toes so will be taller, and Henry is flat footed with 1 foot so is normal height..

Sky, FM and FIFA all say 6'2.

Wiki and a couple of Arsenal fansites say 6'0.

Robin always looks taller than people who are 6 foot so he's clearly not 6 foot.

I think he's 6ft 1. Never thought he was 6ft 2. But you're picking the wrong photos, Vermaelen is clearly behind him in that picture. In fact, it's very hard to tell in pictures.

If you want one of the greatest strike force, you need two forwards that compliment each other. Having identical forwards isn't always the best thing.
