My only worry.. is that Podolski will be our only quality signing..and we will just sign "players for the future."

With Podolski signing.. it brings me so much confidence that Robin will stay.

Strong source in Spain says we have enquired about Susaeta and the usual stories about M'vila are about.
Expect us to sign a 15 year old Ugandan kid from Kony's tribe or some shit.

I don't blame you, we can both agree on an equal level that what you said was ridiculous, no hate.
Back to it, I wonder if Wenger will chuck him out on the wing and keep him there or if he'll move him around a lot. He is a versatile player
Might be ridiculous, but that doesn't mean what I said wasn't true. It is very, very easy to get people biting on this forum.
Yeah but that goes without saying imo..

Okay. Well, I meant what I said. I won't do it anymore and I'll refrain from discussing Arsenal unless it's something positive.

There's a 90% chance he'll be our main striker too.
He's no Van Persie.
This too.
As much as I rate Podolski and as much as I believe he can fulfil his initial potential and become a world beater. There is only one van Persie and we have to keep him.
At all costs.
Let's hope this signing will make van Persie believet eh club is moving int he right direction and will sign a new contract and fulfil his destiny to be the first Arsenal captain since Vieira to lift a major trophy.

This could be true, but he was still relatively cheap, and this is pure speculation, but as a lot in football is, I think the Podolski deal was close to or atleast totally done a fair while before it became high profile, but Koln's drop in form, along with Koln's dependence on Podolski brought it out early.
The amount of time M'Vila have been on our lips, I wouldn't be surprised if the move is close to completed.
This is of course very very brash speculation...

He would be great, I'm still not sure how West Brom managed to get a hold of him before.Theo Filippo wrote:I want Borja Valero.Rick Rosstrich wrote:

I'm hoping for M'Vila the most, he would be even more beasty next to Song/Wilshere.

Criticism is always welcome, just not in a hating and condescending way.

Looks like he doesn't like England though. We made him lose his hair.

Would also give Song some competition and some rest. I'm amazed the guys legs haven't given up on him yet. It's a very demanding role and almost every tackle you make is putting yourself on the line

Also he's only 5 games away from making his 100th appearance for Germany, the crazy thing is that he's still only 26.Paulinho wrote:Fuark, Podolski is Germany's 6th highest goal scorer since the split
By the time he retires he could easily have over 130 caps for Germany.

Re: Podolski to Arsenal Confirmed
Germany's most capped player is Lothar Matthaus with 150. Most capped current players are Klose with 114, Podolski with 95, Schweinsteiger with 90 and Lahm with 86.
As for top goalscorers, Gerd Muller is leading with 68, Klose is second with 63, only other current player in the top ten is Podolski with 43.
25 goals behind Muller and 55 apps behind Matthaus.
Not bad for a 26 year old man born in Poland.

Remember him in the 2006 World Cup, Podolski was named the World Cup's Best Young Player ahead of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

I fell in love with him at that World Cup. Surreal seeing him sign for us 6 years later.

Worst thing about this signing is that I'm sure my sister will develop interest over all things Arsenal now that her footballing crush is here.

I was considering putting Neuer on the back of the German away shirt but now Podolski's here I might reconsider.
