Mainly that is because a lot of people will claim to know about Pavel, but in truth have never seen him other than in Champion's League or on a video game.

The Cristiano and Messi votes are obvious although deluded because they haven't even been playing for a decade. Beckham could be argued, but it would be a very weak argument in my opinion.

Hardly wingers though are they, both are more like strikers playing from wide positions. Beckham will always look for a frontman, stamp the ball and post it via Goldenmail (his right boot). I don't think you'd ever see Arshavin or Ronaldo do this for example..

Sorry took me a minute to reply, I have you on ignore and very rarely click on your posts.

Anyways, Beckham is a weak argument because their is NO WAY IN HELL he should be considered for the best right midfielder of the past 10 years with Figo or Nedved in the same list. Beckham is a good player and that much can't be disputed, but he is no where near the level of Luis Figo or Pavel Nedved point, blank, period, end of discussion. I could go on and on with reasons why it would be a weak argument to say he should be considered the best, but I really don't feel like it because as I just pointed out he is nowhere near the level of Figo or Nedved.

As for your statement about me not knowing about football that is your opinion and a very wrong one at that. I have had plenty of discussions with Englishmen in England and the US regarding football. I have spoken with men a lot older than I am with a helluva a lot more knowledge about the game than I and wasn't slaughtered and have even been told that I can't be American because I know about the game. You can say what you want about me, it really doesn't bother me because I can just ignore you like I have been doing and just reply to the random bit of bullshit you choose to post every now and again.
