Forster is young, inexperienced and not as good as Hart. Since Hart is the clear and obvious number 1, having experience to step in if needed seems more logical than putting someone unproven in there.

I'm not sure I'd consider Forster "the future" to be fair. Hart is the undisputed #1, and will be so for many years. Behind him you have Steele, you have Butland and Ben Amos, all younger and with more international experience than Forster. I don't think it would be far-fetched to say that Forster is never going to be as good as Hart, and without the international experience, as well as the handicap of playing in a league that England managers generally don't even look at, he is highly unlikely to ever get a shout in for England.

Butland is playing for Cheltenham ffs, but you think he should be picked ahead of Forster? Forster has played in numerous Old Firm games and against the likes of Udinese and Atletico Madrid. He has far more experience at a high level than any of those keepers you mentioned. And Forster may never be as good as Hart but considering that his potential is tremendous and I'm pretty sure you've never seen him play that's a pretty shit comment to be honest.

I said they are the future, not the present

As I said, at the moment there is no sense in sticking an unexperienced inferior (to Hart) talent on the bench when you can surround the team with numerous years of experience in top competitions, which can often be worth more than raw talent. Robert Green is a very competent goalkeeper with a lot of experience and who knows the squad very well, he's a logical backup choice.

There is no way Forster has the potential to be on par with Hart. Hart is the best goalkeeper England has had in 20 years. Heck he's giving Seaman a run for his money.

Further no matter how annoying you think it is, rightly or wrongly, England players in the SPL are not, baring a miracle, going to be called up to England.

Speaking of goalkeepers and Norwich, i wouldn't mind John Ruddy as a back up to Joe Hart. Probably better than Carson and Green.
