Yeah, well after his goal in the Carling Cup he made the bench instead of Chamakh a few times, that's about it then.Marvin wrote:Kinda surprised Park hasn't played at all, pretty much.

Are you talking about Gibbs, Chamakh or Park?Novi, The Creator wrote:Doesn't he want to leave at the end of the season anyway. We should of loaned him to Fulham while we had the chance.

This would be idiotic. Sacking a manager doesn't cure problems, it creates them. The fix is simple. Reduce his power to being just the manager and have a manager of football operations brought in much like when David Dein was there and Arsene only worried about the team and nothing else. There is only one escape, sacking Wenger. Despite his undeniable football genius, he needs to go. He is "allowing mediocrity to breed at Arsenal". A big reason for this is his dismal transfer policy.
Many people ask this question, but the talent level is not declining, its stagnant which is the problem. Arsenal are staying the same while other clubs are getting better. It would different if they were getting better while we got worse, but that isn't happening. If it were then we would be in even worse trouble than we are at the moment. The talent level of player at the clubs is declining year after year. "Wenger, over time, has allowed the standard to drop so low at Arsenal that players who were once derided as liabilities are now championed as their strongest assets." Why are players like Djourou even on the pitch, or at the club, for that matter?
Here it is February and you're saying what all supporters have said since the transfer happened. You're a bit late with your assessment. Try again. As I said earlier, Wenger's transfer policy is a big factor in this decline. Summer outgoings included the likes of Fabregas Nasri and Clichy. The replacements? Arteta, Benayoun and Santos. Three world class, top drawer players for three significantly less talented players. It should be no surprise, then, that Arsenal are no longer are assured a place in Europe.
Just my opinion on what needs changing in the Arsenal camp...

I don't consider Gibbs a starter at all. Would rather Santos not that I'm happy he is our starting left back
AriseForLife wrote:You can't really compare a team made up of Ramsey, Song, Arteta to Vieira, Fabreags (whom was the reason Pat was sold), and Gilberto. After the dismantling of that team, Wenger adopted his complete build with youth policy and has basically steered away from experience. It would be different if he bought experience players and mixed them with youth and our results were shit. He isn't doing that, he is going young and keeping it young and only using experience in players that have been at Arsenal for years (terrible idea in my opinion).
We still have a very talented team, but the problem is that our rivals, Chelsea, United, and even Tottenham are spending money getting players that are even more talented. So again its not that we are declining, it that we are stagnant and remain the same year after year.
Adding Scott Parker to our team would have completely changed the way we play. Tottenham don't play like we do so they didn't have to change a thing to integrate him into the team. If he were at Arsenal the flow our our game would be much slower due to have Parker in the middle and you would have to bench Song (something Wenger is not going to do) or Wilshere (something Wenger is not going to do) to play Parker. SP's price was nice, but we needed a lot more than Scott Parker to reinforce our team and Wenger basically failed big time.
I do not see the board taking power away, and Kroenke is not going to interfere because he is a huge fan of Wenger so unless the board all resign or some freak of nature happens you can look for the next couple of year at the club to be much like they are now.
Because everything you have said has been said about 1000 times since the summer?The_Quilo wrote:Theo Filippo wrote:Arise destroyed Quilo

Quite the intelligent post there...
I seem to remember you not even replying to my first post.
