Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has been handed a one-match suspension, fined £20,000 and warned as to his future conduct after admitting to an improper conduct charge for his behaviour at Fulham.
The club have also been fined £20,000 for failing to control their players in the same match.
Uruguay international Suarez was pictured apparently making a one-figured gesture towards Fulham's fans following Liverpool's 1-0 defeat at Craven Cottage on 5th December.

Obviously cultrual differences. Typical Fergie Association picking on Liverpool players.

The ban was a little over the top

Should have either been a three match ban or no ban at all.

What a load of shit.
Everyone knows the gesture he made is how you order a pint in Uraguay.

Hopefully we'll see Wolves handed a similar fine for their players actions yesterday then.

Meh, considering the chants he was recieving you can't really blame him.

Plenty of players get abuse and don't feel the need to rise to the bait and react.

So does that add to the possible 8 game ban, making it 9?

No, he misses the game on Friday.

It was just disappointing that it was during the time before the race ruling, we wanted him to behave himself, and he does it again.Laurencio wrote:InGlennyWeTrust wrote:Very lenient ruling.

Next time he'll learn to be in a train or the bus when he is using racially charged words or showing his middle finger!

Fair enough, you can't react to the crowd like that no matter what they say.

You always have to bring other players/teams into it

Ok, I just thought that this one game would be just before the other 8, possibly the game before.

Have I done anything wrong? I've got no problem with these punishments, just as long as those dishing them out are consistent with them.

The hate is a little over the top here. Thousands of fans gesturing at him and calling him names and aggrivating him. He pulls of the finger and gets the bomb dropped on him.

Deserved punishment. I don't see how anyone can defend his actions.
