Re: Anime Thread
Here are three shows I tried recently, but they didn't catch my interest. Just dropping them here in case anyone wants to take a look.
Hakuouki Reimeiroku
Valkyria Chronicles
Uchuu Senkan Yamato
Now on Arcana Famiglia. Looks like I might like it.

Re: Anime Thread
I have Another on my To Watch list.
My usual route of discarding an anime if it doesn't hit me in the first episode is looking shaky. Did it with Code Geass and Soul Eater before coming back to them and thoroughly enjoying them.
It's the same story with Nabari no Ou. I was meh towards it a couple of months ago but I gave it a second chance recently and it caught me. Definitely recommend it.

Yeah, man, that's a poor strategy. Sometimes you have to grind your teeth and bear with a series before it starts getting good.
I started watching Senkou No Night Raid(Night Raid 1932)
It's about Japanese spies operating in main line China. Pretty cool.

My favourite anime is Medabots, really takes me back to my childhood. Love the art style too.

I also dropped Monster after a couple of eps. It's meant to be this classic show but I don't see why. Progressing far too slowly to keep one interested,

Good list. I'd throw one of the Homunculi from FMA in there (Lust/Wrath) and Shisio from Rurouni Kenshin. I'd probably switch Buu for Cell in DBZ.
dena wrote:what's soul eater?
Anime about kids and kids who are really weapons who attend an academy run by Death.

Re: Anime Thread
It's Mudusa from Soul Eater. I just really like her as a villain.Jeff wrote:Who's number 5 from Jord's list i no the rest
@Rei, Buu was gay man.. How can he be a true villain if he doesn't speak or even have a proper motive? Frieza was evil, jealous of the Saiyans and wanted to rule the galaxy. Cell was bad ass and was created with the sole purpose to reach his perfect form and kill Goku. Buu was just a nothing
Anyway that was my motive for chosing Cell over Buu. He has an awesome persona as well.

Re: Anime Thread
The comedy used is cringeworthy sometimes, and the ending is a bit soft, but overall it's a very good series.

Need a manga to read. Sci Fi, action kind of thing would be good.
Can't find the remaining chapters to Freezing otherwise I would be reading that.

Don't usually read manga, but I've been meaning to check out Anara, Dorohedoro, Ubel Blatt, and Urotsukidoji. You could try those.

So far it looks quite good. Hopefully the battles don't get repetitive. Good music and art style though.Cam wrote:Do you like it?

Re: Anime Thread
Nabari No Ou
Not top-notch, but definitely worth a watch in my opinion. Only major complaint was too many touchy-feely episodes in the middle. My manliness rejected it.
Currently watching Kiba. Again not-notch, but innovative world building, a cocky protagonist, and cool fights is all I need. A lot of people die as well.
