Re: Rooney or Suarez?
Now you're just talking shit. Monaco valued him at a price and Arsenal were willing to pay it. The price does not prove there was competition.

Re: Rooney or Suarez?
Gotta say Rooney but now that Suarez is in a 1st tier league in a good side it'll be interesting to see how he does.

I'm speechless at your idiocy. Anyway, I really am off. Trying to explain things to a simpleton is tiring work and I need some sleep now. Bye.

Supply and demand is what defines the price, it's what defines what Monaco can demand, and it's what defines how much Arsenal are willing to pay. If nobody else wanted him then he would have been very cheap. Unless Arsenal are complete fucking morons and pay whatever they're told to.

Not really.
How many other clubs were bidding for Rooney when you paid over 30 million for him? How many other clubs were bidding for Carroll when we paid 35 million? What about Hargreaves?

Newcastle forced our hand with regard to Rooney, and we didn't pay over £30m for him. Paying £35m for Carroll, that fits in with what I said (only complete fucking morons pay whatever they're told to) and the Hargreaves deal was due to a shortfall in supply. The supply of talented young African strikers in Ligue Un is quite a bit higher than the supply of World Class defensive midfielders.

So how do you know Monaco didn't force Arsenal's hand with Adebayor?

Re: Rooney or Suarez?
Thought I'd take another look at that Kelly and Arshavin incident.
Go from the 5 minute mark.
Kelly tries powering Arshavin off the ball, but Arshavin is having none of it. Seems fair to me, Arshavins arm isn't wrapped around Kelly either, it's just across him.
Kind of like this

No. I saw a video of it from a certain angle on Sky in slow-motion, Arshavin literally tackles him. Why do you think Kelly went flying?
Sit down.
EDIT: The picture you've shown is the nano-second before Kelly goes flying. It's literally just after the rugby tackle had taken place.

We had agreed a fee for Adebayor 6 months before Arsenal had.ResurrectionRooney wrote:Wenger bought him because he thought he could do a good job for Arsenal, not out of the kindness of his heart. He earned his shot at the big time through his talent, if he'd stayed at Monaco, someone else would have picked him up. He doesn't owe Arsenal anything, you bought him because it was convenient and you shipped him out because it was convenient.

Given that it was a Liverpool player, he was probably just diving. We all know that Liverpool players are taught these little tricks.

Arshavin is a russian assassin thats why. I remember him sending that phaggot Carragher flying before when trying to out-muscle him.

Re: Rooney or Suarez?
The reason Kelly went flying is because he had underestimated Arshavins strength, they were both holding up well, Kelly gave in when he attempted to kick the ball away, his feet came off the ground, therefore losing his strength and Arshavin overcoming him.
Also, I'm already sat down.

Re: Rooney or Suarez?
Yeah, anyway the point was, the ref had helped you just as much as he helped us. Difference is, we put our chance away (well, your defender did lol)
Van Persie scuffed his chance to put you 1-0 up after that Arshavin/Kelly incident.

Re: Rooney or Suarez?
Not many went for Liverpool either.
Apart from the 'offside' in the first goal, what else was given to us? We had a goal disallowed and you almost had a goal from a blatent Arshavin foul.

Re: Rooney or Suarez?
Scott you need to chill about that 'disallowed' goal
Even if the push on Koscielny hadn't been spotted (which it rightfully was) Szscesny would have had no trouble sticking his arms out and catching Downing's shot.
I don't quite understand what you are trying to say though, are you saying that comparing an 'offside' goal is fair to a run of the mill challenge at the other end of the field?
