It's hard as there's only Baines that's capable. Smalling at right back done a better defensive job than Cole last night.

Cole is far better than Baines, and as good as Smalling is (certainly better than Vermaelen) he can only dominate one side of the pitch at a time.

Cole isn't far better than Baines, yesterday Baines would have done a much better job on Bale than what that girl done. Well If I was Capello I'd switch Smalling to left back (Forcing it) and slot Richards at RB.

Mentioning what would happen if he came up against Ronaldo etc... There's a reason Ronaldo wasn't often effective against Chelsea..

Yeah Cole has always had Ronaldo in his back pocket even from his Arsenal days, but that was 2-3 years ago the last time they met up. Ronaldo would rip Cole up, it's too harsh to have Ronaldo up against him now. Cole's declined significantly since then.

Worth mentioning that Ronaldo made Cole his bitch last time they faced each other as well. He'd destroy Leighton Baines though.

I lost count of how many times Ronaldo left Cole sitting on his arse during his time at United.

Yep in his earlier days only Cole in the PL could contain him properly. But on the last few occassions Ronaldo f'd him over, yep he'd do the same to Baines, but Baines can only get better whereas Cole's best days are long gone.

On a scale of 10, I'd say Cole has won the majority of their head to heads (6-7 out of 10). But Now it'll be 10/10 in favour of Ronaldo
