Does anyone know the alleged incentives on top of the initial £6m for Cahill?

To be frank, it's exactly the same as:
Song - Wilshere
Gervinho - van Persie - Hazard
Walcott
It's just different on paper.

Song imo, would be the weak link.

The wingers would have more defensive work with Wilshere pushing forward a la Vieira.

Wenger said: “That number is wrong, it is completely wrong. I believe every negotiation is between two parties and you only have to sell the player if you are all right with the price.

Well in the formation we play already, when Walcott plays he does his fair share of defending and tracking back, so it's not really the formation, it's more the players.
In the formation we play already, Wilshere can get forward too, it just depends on what Song does and if he sits or not.

I don't think a total of £10m is 'derisory' although it is obviously a little low really anyway hope we can come to a decent deal

Linked with Elia.
Hmm.. he's good but i'd much rather Hazard. We'll see what happens.
I'd like us to sign Ruiz, and play him on the right, Gervinho on the left, and van Persie upfront. That way, RvP can drop deeper, and feed those two who can cut in or he can go further foward and link up with them.
Ideally it would be Hulk but that won't happen.

I think a decimal point off the front of the 6 is more likely.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
Bolton will sell Cahill. Wenger is a smart cunt, we know that.
Cahill has to be sold before the 31st August or he can just sign a pre-contract agreement with any club in January, without Bolton's say so. Will they really want to lose him for free like they did with Elmander?

It's true, but the risk is if City come in for him we're screwed. Don't think any other big clubs want a CB so it's basically between us or them. Maybe Spurs.

So the players we're linked with:
Jagielka
Cahill
M'vila
Hazard
Elia
Lucho Gonzalez
Kaka
L'Equipe seem to think Cissokho too.

Yea i've seen that. I think we'll wait till Jan to sign a LB if we get one though. Plus he's now cup tied for the CL.

Another thing. Wenger is being very open about his Cahill bid. Is he making Everton take note that we will sign another centre back, so they should sell Jagielka, quick?

I think they will.
But they have Kompany, Lescott, Toure, Onouha and Savic. I think it depends on if they sell/loan Onouha or not.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
Out of those, I really don't want us to sign Jagielka or Arteta. Also, I like Martin but it's a risk and we can't take a big risk atm. Also not really keen on Elia but meh.
Also, the more I think about it, the more i'd like Ruiz but it won't happen even though he'd jump to sign for us and wouldn't be that expensive. He's built for the PL too and would give us something different on the wing, rather then just pace.

I want Martin for some reason. He just seems a natural replacement for Fabregas, especially with his assist stats.
