I would say their style will suit us and we'll go and win comfortably in a really open game. But we all remember Blackpool away last season (on this weekend last year i think?) where we thought they'd suit us and we got beat 3-1. We're better than last year and rafa may well be fit so theres a good chance. Its all about taking our chances and whoever is playing centre back dominating Grant Holt or Morison.

Bale, what a player. Whether he's up top or on the wing he's just pure class.

Adebayor not scoring cost me £50, but I'm still £25 up for the night so oh well.
Thought the game would be like this.....Spurs too good on the ball but it's not clicking well enough for a routing.....

Re: Tottenham Hotspur Official Thread
I've never seen us look so comfortable and win away from home so much like we have done this season. We're not winning the title no, but 3rd is definitely within our reach, which bring automatic Champions group stage place with it. Surprised to see JJ as the pundit, and he kept referring to the lads with the nicknames and called Harry gaffa, which was nice to see/hear. I feel bad for him though, he's not a bad player just too inconsistent and we have gone above his level I feel. Met him on my Birthday at the Lane once, got a pic, nice lad.

Been pretty average so far but got the goal we needed.
Need to play better in the 2nd half.

Shit performance overall tbh. Didn't deserve to win.
Atleast we didn't lose, and gained a point. Shame though with Utd losing we could've made up some ground.
Ah well.

You still haven't done anything to think about challenging the big boys. Know your place, which is nearly there but never quite there.

Condescending people over the internet when you're 18 is from a psychological perspective a bizarre attitude to have.
Back onto the football - an away draw at Swansea isn't a terrible result. We need to rotate players more but all in all its been a really good year for us and 3rd going into the new year with 3 home games next i'm a happy yiddo.

Re: Tottenham Hotspur Official Thread
tbf to Harry though, when the team is piling on the wins you're not going to want to rotate
Wouldn't mind seeing Kranjcar and co. get some game time though.

why keep a manager that failed so badly at the last competition. each party will be happy to part ways

Hmmmm...so failing badly in one extremely important competition is enough to render an exceptional track record irrelevant, and the manager should leave.

yeah since that competition is once every 4 years
and what does this have to do with fergie? our most important competition is the premier league..

Surely they should get much longer?ViVaRooney wrote:yeah since that competition is once every 4 years
The UEFA Champions League is the most important, moreover it is the competition that is most comparable to the World Cup, in terms of facing the world's best teams in group stages, followed by knockout ties. Saying that, England at least got through the group stages in the World Cup.and what does this have to do with fergie? our most important competition is the premier league..

yeah and its also the only competition they play which lasts only a month. where as in club football its like 4 comps all during the season
it is nothing like the CL. if we only had CL we could play our strongest team every match. just cause the structure is similar doest make them comparable

Re: Tottenham Hotspur Official Thread
Maybe he is a better club manager then. Good at knowing when and how to use his squad properly. International football is playing your best team against other best teams all of the time.

Are major games at club level are somehow different?

Re: Tottenham Hotspur Official Thread
Watched the Swansea game in Cyprus yesterday, didn't think we were too bad, but the goal we gave away was cheap. Parker being forced off I think helped them majorly. Still, United and City both losing means we gained a point on them, with that game in hand of course to come in between 2 other home games. I expect 9 points from the next 3.
