It's one thing getting bullied by Barcelona in them getting Fabregas, but to be bullied by Chelsea at least our player who wants to leave can still play in his last match for us and perform well unlike Modric who's actually pushing for the leave. Really and truly you yids can't really have a say on anything of our current situation.RafaVDV wrote:BladeGunner14 wrote:RafaVDV wrote:Have you got 11 to start?

Don't worry, October 2nd...we'll let you go 2 goals up and you can throw it away again.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
I'd take that first squad no second thoughts. Both squads are more than capable of beating them and scoring at least 2 crucial goals over. But I'd have Walcott on the bench and Arshavin to start on the first squad tbh. Regardless of his goal in the first leg he's best used off the bench, much better than bringing Arshavin off the bench that's for sure.arsenalap11 wrote:El_indian wrote:wow and he never thought to mention that...some people...
Yeah I know. He makes crazy money too. But my mate is a she not a heSzczsney
Sagna - Djourou - Vermaelen - Traore
Song - Ramsey
Walcott - Rosicky - Gervinho
van Persie
At best that.
At worst:Szczsney
Jenkinson - Song - Vermaelen - Sagna
Frimpong - Ramsey
Walcott - Arshavin - Gervinho
van Persie
I'd actually possibly prefer the at worst option

I've heard Song will start at center back as Djourou is not ready.

Looks like it will be him and Vermalen at the back with Frimpong and
Ramsey in the middle, just hope Traore plays so Sagna can go back to
right back.

Yeah, thinking about it a bit more from my prediction yesterday, I'm pretty sure Arsene will use Traore. He's the closest thing we have to a left back right now, although it pains me to say that.

Henri Lansbury, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and interestingly, Emmanuel Frimpong, in the latest England Under-21 squad.

What? Fabregas faked injury all summer while in the end forcing Wenger to let him go. Modric will play well if he doesn't get his move, I don't hold it against him as I can't deny Chelsea are a bigger club and he's one of the top players in the league.

Fenerbahce's expulsion from the Champions League might mean Arsenal qualify no matter what... As the highest ranked qualifiers.

Has Frimpong played for Ghana at youth level? Would be great to see him in an England shirt one day as a full international.Mal wrote:Henri Lansbury, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and interestingly, Emmanuel Frimpong, in the latest England Under-21 squad.

I got it from a journo. There's loads of theories being thrown about. Some are saying Liverpool might get in but others are saying five clubs from one country isn't allowed. Some are saying, a smaller countries champions may get in. I've also read that Udinese and Arsenal will be in.
UEFA haven't even made their decision on Fenerbahce yet, anyway.

Frimpong for England? Finally, a tough tackling midfielder who will protect the back four.

That's good, thought he was picked to play for Ghana a while back. Could definitely make it for England one day if he keeps up his development.Coatsy wrote:Steadman wrote:Has Frimpong played for Ghana at youth level? Five clubs from one country has happened before, it was Liverpool then as well. It won't happen though.

Nah that goes completely against the rules. You lose, you get kicked out. You win, you go through.

I've read a lot that it could be the highest ranked team knocked out in this round that goes through. That means if Udinese beat Arsenal, they'd both go through.

Uefa should wait until after the game to say what happens Would add even more tension to the game.

Na$ri: “It’s a big relief because you know there was a long, long negotiation between the two clubs, but now, finally, I’m a City player and that’s what I wanted since the start. So I’m very happy”.
“Arsenal have good fans but not that passionate since they moved from Highbury to the Emirates”, he said, having never played at Highbury. “I can see that the City fans are really passionate. They’ve got tattoos with Man City and that’s what I really like”.
