Not a bad side considering the players you've lost, you need to bring some players in but you'll be okay.

IT's not a bad side at all but injuries always have the better of us, Wenger's biggest weakness is that he always thinks the injury problems will go away, when they won't, he keeps hoping he'll have a fit squad the whole season when that is impossible, Wenger needs to grab the bull by the horns, buy every good player he can get his hands on, win a trophy and then dismantle his squad a afterwards so it can be a self sufficient unit.

He won't dp that and that's one of his biggest flaws - Not proactive anymore.

Splashy wrote:If Wenger signed 2 more players, I would be quite happy tbh.

    Szczesny
    Sagna - Koscielny - Vermaelen - Gibbs
    M'Vila - Song - Wislhere
    Gervinho/Walcott - RVP - Hazard/Arshavin

I can't be happy with the fact that we can sign a quality left-back (Armero) for quite a low sum and won't.

grenade187 wrote:Cant see us qualifying for the CL tbh. Udinese will have a much better team out on home ground, whilst we will play a bunch of kids and strikers in defense and be all over the fucking place Official Arsenal FC Thread - Page 18 58503

I can guarantee you we will concede a goal. If we're lucky we might get a flukey win but its unlikely.

I'm confident about us qualifying since we managed to beat them in spite of a poor performance and they've lost 3 of their best 4 players in this window. Definitely not expecting a clean sheet though.

The Bat-Man wrote:All we need now is Song and Frimpong to come back from suspension and not get suspended again for the whole season, then we have the most badass midfield in history.

    Frimpong and Song not worthy

Song needs more discipline with both his offensive and defensive side if he's to be as good as he was 2 seasons ago.

I really don't get this M'Vila craze. One day no one even knew who he was, the next everybody thinks he's the cure to cancer. Our problem now is that we're lacking creativity. I don't see how another defensive midfielder would fix that problem.

You haven't watch him play have you.

Imagine a Vieira who is great at passing, that's M'Vila.

He's better than Song at both defence and attack and I love Song.

Agreed with this . Lost Cesc and Nasri, on top off a not soo great defense. We need to prioritize. Don't even think M'Vila would be that good for us tbh.

His name certainly wasn't being thrown around as much as it is now. It was a fairly hyperbolic statement. I'm surprised you didn't ask who thought he was the cure to cancer.

Been thrown around a lot ever since he made the french squad tbh. So next question. Who thinks he's the cure for cancer? Razz

Anyway. Good player. Mature, good on the ball and good defensively. Would need time to adapt to England, but I think he'd do well for Arsenal.

Why would we bring in M'vila anyway ? Blow £25m on a player who will just slightly improve us on that position? I could argue Song is the better player when he keeps his ass back. As backup I always said I'd be happy with Frimpong.

True. We could do with a winger and a CF.

Because M'Vila also has a very good passing foot and could take up a position somewhere between Song and Wilhsere. He'd add strength to your midfield, as well as passing ability and dueling ability. He doesn't just improve the defensive part of midfield, but can help with the playmaking part as well. That adds unpredictability to your attack, as teams will have to deal with both M'Vila and Wilshere, and can't just block Wilshere to stop your passing oppertunities (Wilshere is no Cesc Fabregas, he can't get out of markings as easily).

We need about 10 signings Laughing
First of all we need a CB and a LB, Jagielka/Subotic and Baines I doubt we'll be able to buy both Jagielka and Baines from Everton, but Everton need money so fingers crossed we can get him and we need Subotic great CB and underrated. And if we don't get Baines I wouldn't mind Vertonghen who can also play LB, CB or CDM, and him and Vermaelen had a great partnership at Ajax.

Second we need an RW, Walcott end ball is horrific and it kills us, we need Eden Hazard at the rate it doesn't look like we will be getting him and he wants to stay at Lilles for one more season so Sad, but I hope Wenger can still manage to get him.

We need a CF/CAM, I don't know exactly who but we need one Laughing Van Persie needs someone to provide for him thats what we've been lacking over the last few games.

If we can do those I can see us doing better than last season study

He doesn't get enough credit for what he does. Was easily one of the best if the best defender in the Bundesliga last year.

Obviously they want to keep one of their best players, but they currently have no money, none at all and they will only do worse then next season if they do not spend so they are obliged to sell at least one of their best players.

He would hardly get raped at LB Laughing, he's pretty solid defensively but I'd much prefer Baines who is nearing his peak, and I don't want Vermaelen at LB either.

I think he's a pretty good dribbler Laughing

Pretty much everyone knows how good Subotic is. They rely on Baines a lot, I doubt they'll sell him. They could let Jagielka go because they can replace him.

Yes he will get raped because he's almost as slow as Mertesacker, and these days a slow full back will get raped most the time, especially if they're that slow.

His control is poor, and he can't beat a man unless it's by using his pace.
