You held on to your star players? In the last 2 years or so you've lost your best central midfielder (who was your best player at the time), your second best central midfielder (who was your best CM at the time) and your best striker (who was also your best player at the time). The second of those was after you'd failed to qualify for the Champions League, the third was when you were struggling in mid-table half way through the season.

I'm talking about when Roy came in, Around that time, we were facing a similar crisis as Arsenal, but with the debt and owner problems too. Alonso doesn't count. The only 'star' player that left was Mascherano.

Torres left when the crisis was more or less over. Different.

We failed to qualify for the knock-out stages of the Champions League at the start of our downfall.

Also, Torres wasn't our best player at the time. They were all shit.

We need another CAM/Winger - To replace Nasri (A strong Midfielder with maturity in his play as well as being a calming pressence on the pitch would be more important tbh)
We need another winger - To compete with Walcott, Gervinho and new CAM/Winger (Disagree. Ryo, Arshavin and Camberlain can do the job)
And we need a Striker - 2nd choice, Chamakh is shit (Disagree, you need a first choice striker that can score 20 goals a season and play in front of Van Persie)

You want way too much realistically imo.

Mannone = Third choice, and i'm happy with that because I think that he's as good as most 3rd choice PL keepers, and Fabianski is a good 2nd choice.

Don't need 2 CB's. If we sign 1 good CB, then we'll have 3 quality ones, and Djourou who can be alright. Wengers already said Squillaci isn't part of his plans anymore, so Miquel will be before him and Bartley can step up next year.

We could probably do with another box to box midfielder, but there's plenty of other things that need working on and we have 2 DM's that can do a good job so I doubt we need another one really. I'd like Djourou to play as a DM again a bit so he can be versatile.

We don't need another 2 wingers, we already have 5... 1 more would be good if we move Arshavin or Walcott to where they want to play.
