I don't either if he was not English i am sure he would not be that highly rated. He was good in the 08/09 season when Clichy got injured but hes gone backwards.Mc Babel wrote:I don't rate gibbs at all.Filippo Inzaghi wrote:Agreed except for Gibbs the defence performed well. Guess I'll see it properly on MOTD.
I'd send Gervinho off just for his hairstyle.

That was more of a dig at the defensive attitude and brain-dead play but yeah i agree even with that back four we have i still always feel that we are shaky. The Bat-Man wrote:Filippo Inzaghi wrote:Agreed except for Gibbs the defence performed well. Last two came on in the last few minutes.
Gibbs didn't do much wrong himself, I think Koscielny impressed me the most, I know was Vermaelen is capable of, nice to see Koscielny be up for the battle too along with his great reading of the game.
If we can keep this up and get replacements for the dynamic duo, we can rattle a few cages at the top, that's for sure.
Although I would love to get Gary Cahill, my heart would be much more at rest if I see Koscileny filling in for injuries rather than Djourou of Squillaci.
What was Barton's red card offence?Gegilworld93 wrote:trolling against your own team? Really?Filippo Inzaghi wrote:Barton shouldn't of been sent off though, I would personally fine Gervinho and drop him for the champions league games for a pathetic hit out.

I think he'll get a short ban. I don't care either cause Frimpong is fit and a better passer.kyro7 wrote:Was thinking the same.Jord wrote:What do you lot think will happen to Song? I have a hunch he'll be safe and not get suspended.

Violent conduct, manhandling, pulling him up, pushing and starting a fight, Sagna and Zabaleta both got sent off for less and then his diving, should have given a red.Filippo Inzaghi wrote:That was more of a dig at the defensive attitude and brain-dead play but yeah i agree even with that back four we have i still always feel that we are shaky. The Bat-Man wrote:Filippo Inzaghi wrote:Agreed except for Gibbs the defence performed well. I don't think there is a law to starting fights and Violent conduct is raising your hand to another player (Slap, punch). Pushing & Pulling are not red card offences.Gegilworld93 wrote:Violent conduct, manhandling, pulling him up, pushing and starting a fight, Sagna and Zabaleta both got sent off for less and then his diving, should have given a red.Filippo Inzaghi wrote:That was more of a dig at the defensive attitude and brain-dead play but yeah i agree even with that back four we have i still always feel that we are shaky. The Bat-Man wrote:Filippo Inzaghi wrote:Agreed except for Gibbs the defence performed well. I think they both should have gotten the same punishment. Either both off or neither.
@Filippo: He grabbed Gervinho by the neck.

He raised his hands though. Had him round the neck while both he and Gervinho were standing up. Is why Gervinho lashed out...

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
Raising your hand to a player is in the context of raising it to their face i think grabbing someone by the neck is in the pulling/pushing category which is a booking..

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
Slapping a player & grabbing a player by the throat are two different situations if you went up to someone on the street and slapped/punched them infront of a policeman then i am sure you would be taken into custody however if you grabbed someone by the throat i am sure it would just be broken up.
