Can you imagine Suarez and Gomes switching positions throughout a game? That would really confuse the opposition. Total football at its finest.

Suarez does have quick reactions. Would make a great goalie. Laughing

Results were pretty good last night. Despite our poor form atm, the table is still very close. We're still in the pack, but could certainly do with a win against Blackburn.

I'd go with this on Saturday...
    Gomes
    Hutton----Kaboul----Bassong----Ekotto
    ----------Huddlestone----Modric----Bale
    ---VDV-------------------------
    Pav----Crouch

We really need the goals, so giving VDV a roaming roll from the right while Hutton overlaps down that side could allow us to play 2 strikers.

VDV with a free role from the right?

Would leave Hutton very exposed and he's not exactly the greatest at defending.

But surely VDV would be able to roam from the right to the middle to the right shifty

I can't imagine him being as disciplined as Modric is when he plays LM tbh. Never know though, he's surprised me with how well he's fit into the Spurs team so far.

VDV works very hard and he tracks back. But I would expect us to dominate possession anyway, especially with Huddlestone and Modric in the middle. The system worked ok against Wolves, where we really pressed and got the victory.

Seems that Pav could be out along with Keane though. So maybe...

    Gomes
    Hutton----Kaboul----Bassong----Ekotto
    ----------Huddlestone----Modric----Bale
    ---VDV-------------------------
    Kranjcar
    Crouch

We're just not scoring atm. So we need to add another attacking threat. Kranjcar hasn't played much at all, but he has goals in him (better goalscorer than Crouch).

God Crouch is so out of place in your team imo, I know he's got a lot of assists from heading it down to VDV, but he really is not good enough. Neutral

we just need to stop letting in cheap goals... as soon as Defoe is back the goals will start to come again.

I think losing Defoe and Dawson was a bigger blow than most of us imagined.

Losing Dawson is what really bothers me. I don't think Defoe brings that much to the team that Pav can't.

Ya but that isn't something you can rely on.

So Johnson isn't happy at City...What in the hell is stopping us from getting him?!?! I don't think he'd cost much if Mancini wants him out and he could play down the right! We could rotate our squad a lot better with him.

massively need a win today but with the amount of injuries we have I think a draw will happen. I'll take a 1-0 win with an own goal to be honest just so we get 3 points..

Tottenham have suffered a major blow with the news Tom Huddlestone faces three months out of action with an ankle injury.

Sucks for you. He's been good in the middle for you's this season.
