The 'brutal agresion' one where he fucking nailed that guy who dived? That was a 10 game ban, mind you he did punch someone, stamp on his victim, refuse to leave the pitch then run back onto it to celebrate when Real Madrid scored the winner.

Disagree Pepe is a fantastic player and a fantastic professional if you look at the video evidence he didn't kick him that badly. It was merely a nudge the player deserved for diving.

I agree. More players should take a note out of Pepe's book.

What Pepe did is a lot worse than diving.

Can't have vigilante justice though.
We should have committees who review suspected dives in each game. If the committee decides unanimously that a player definitely did dive, then whatever injury such player is faking would then be administered onto them in earnest. For example, if a player goes down holding his face like somebody just peeled it off and the committee decides it was a definite dive and injury sim, then somebody gets to take a potato peeler to the diving player's face for real.

Re: Pepe should be banned from football
I know but if I was on the pitch then I'd do the same because all divers are scum. It's becoming a tactic nowadays. Even PES lets you dive. What message does that send out to the future footballers who play PES?menalawyerguy wrote:coolhead33 wrote:It is but it wouldn't of happened if the player didn't dive.ResurrectionRooney wrote:What Pepe did is a lot worse than diving.

All the cameras for reverse angles and such would cost too much for the FA, Fifa, UEFA or whoever. I'd like it to happen but I doubt it will.

Re: Pepe should be banned from football
They could borrow the feeds from the television stations that cover the game. We would have committees just at the top levels. Hopefully, the effect would trickle down. It wouldn't be needed for very long either. As soon as one diver gets his leg snapped pursuant to the decision of a committee, I think that'll pretty much be the end of diving.

A beggar asked me for money yesterday, I beat him to death.
What I did was a lot worse than begging, but begging is a crime, and his death wouldn't have happened if he hadn't been begging.

Re: Pepe should be banned from football
All of the football league have some cameras but I think they all all in the same place unless the game is being shown on live TV. Another thing that gets me is how football is run. Clubs would be much better off if all run by the supporters and not businessmen. They could all decide on prices they would be willing to pay to either get a high attendance for a low price or a half full stadium for a rip off price depending on the supporters ambitions. It should also be compulsory to spend within the clubs means and have certain equipment such as cameras around the ground and goal line technology/video replay technology. Fifa should have a representative per country association as well.menalawyerguy wrote:They could borrow the feeds from the television stations that cover the game. @ResurrectionRooney: Begging isn't a crime though. That is different to the diving scenario. Begging doesn't affect you unless they follow you and try and pretty much take money off of you. Begging is in a way a life or death situation in some cases as they need the money to survive. Diving does affect you and your team and could cost the player/club extra money and a promotion/longer cup run. Diving doesn't warrant getting beat up and I'm not saying it's right to do so but Pepe wouldn't of beat the player up if he hadn't of dived.

I like him, he is good for the sport
He can get out of hand at times, but we don't want the sport to turn to being touched as a foul.

Yes it is, under the Vagrancy Act of 1824
every person wandering abroad, or placing himself or herself in any public place, street, highway, court, or passage, to beg or gather alms, or causing or procuring or encouraging any child or children so to do; shall be deemed an idle and disorderly person within the true intent and meaning of this Act; and [F3, subject to section 70 of the Criminal Justice Act 1982, it shall be lawful for any justice of the peace to commit such offender (being thereof convicted before him by his own view, or by the confession of such offender, or by the evidence on oath of one or more credible witness or witnesses,) to the house of correction, . . . F4 for any time not exceeding one calendar month.

It does effect me, it pressurises me into giving them money wen I don't want to. It irritates me, but that doesn't give me the right to respond with force, the same is true for Pepe. It's no justification of what he did to say 'He dived', the same way as me beating the fuck out of a beggar isn't justified by the fact he was committing a crime against me.

The crime thing is silly though I reckon. Do you remember that guy who got charged for something as he chased after a couple of people who robbed his house and gave one of them brain damage or something along those lines? It is wrong to attack someone like that but the robbers shouldn't of been doing such a thing in the first place. I'm not sure but I think the man hid while the robbers threatened his wife.
I just ignore beggars but I rarely see them where I live. It shouldn't really affect you in such a way that you give in to the beggars. I'm not religious but the Biblical quote "an eye for an eye" is true to an extent in my opinion. If someone punched you are you saying that you wouldn't punch them back?
