    lol wut

Liverpool is in no major competitions and still has an overly huge squad with way too many midfielders that will just create locker room drama.

Gerrard, Downing, Adam, Shelvey, Spearing, Meireles, Lucas, Maxi, Kuyt, Henderson, Cole, Poulsen, etc.

Is just a mess waiting to happen coaching wise.

So is the EPL not a major competition anymore, or even the FA Cup.
They won't win either so no.
    That's irrelevant? It's still a major competition.

no reason to have a squad with that many guys battling for spots if you aren't in the champions league, or at least europa. The players will become unhappy and it will be too hard to get some of them match time.

Who cares if Poulsen or Cole get unhappy think Shelvey and Spearing are quite young and they both know that they're mainly back up players.

But they will only be able to use 25 players in the premiership, and well some of them still have time to move on.

The rest are starters. Adam could easily be dropped and we could keep Aquilani but meh.

alot of players don;t like being known as backup players and think they are better then that. Look at Man U this year even though they are winning titles some of their "backup players" left to sunderland because they wanted playing time. Look at a team like Man City, alot of unhappy players as is, now imagine them without the champions league, players like balotelli, wright phillips, etc. would probably be gone in a second. Same thing is happening at Spurs right now, we had a huge squad for champions league and now players like Palacios, Krancjar, Bentley, Woodgate, Dos Santos, etc don't get games anymore and some of them get unhappy and leave. It can happen to any club.

I think the fact that O'shea and Brown are like 31 adds to why they left because older players tend to want to play as many games as possible before they retire.

Cole wants to stay. As does Poulsen. Meireles isn't that good - Adam is better. Maxi will definitely be a back-up.
Basically what you said, but the opposite.

A bit like Arsenal then, and how do you know who will win the FA Cup.
When was the last time Liverpool won under pressure?
Chelsea Away, Manchester City at Home, Manchester United at Home and maybe a few others, And that was without the squad they now have, and we had Spearing and a few youngters playing, fuck anyone will half a brain new Liverpool's squad lacked Qualitiy and the bigger the games the better the Qualitiy you normally need, and hopefully with the players they have bought we will have more depth and Qualitiy in the Squad and can build on it through the next few years.

Your not in the competition to win it.

None of those are pressure games.

Bold = Going/won't feature at all unless we're in a crisis.
    Italic = Bench/back-up.
The rest are starters. Adam could easily be dropped and we could keep Aquilani but meh.

Meireles and Maxi won't want to be backups. Meireles especially, he is miles better then Adam and imo he is one of the best midfielders in the league. And Cole and Poulsen will think they are better then they are and also want to leave. You think its easy to just tell a player like Joe Cole "hey buddy I know you used to be great but you're shit now so you're a backup." believe it or not some players wouldn't take too kindly to that

Cole wants to stay. As does Poulsen. Meireles isn't that good - Adam is better. Maxi will definitely be a back-up.
Basically what you said, but the opposite.

regardless of all that what formation are you going to play with Lucas, Adam, Gerrard and Downing? + Kuyt/Suarez/Carrol
