I'm not doubting that Aqua is a quality player but not got some key attributes required to be a top PL midfielder. i.e. strength. Everybody was talking about it last week when he was playing in the friendlies.

when he does play, he will play with two holding midfielders behind him, in a 4-2-3-1.

He doesn't need a lot of strength. He is very good technically on the ball, and good ball control and awareness around him. His role would be to link up play, not to the defensive midfielder. Neutral

I don't see how a player who has hardly played for us is going to make us struggle.

    Terrible Jela.

Convincing Aquilani to stay would be the best bit of business this summer. This whole Aquilani fiasco is nearly as bad as Torres last summer in my opinion.

Ok then, I got the wrong end of the stick. I was reading you's speaking about the game, I didn't have a link at that point so I got it wrong. My fault.

Why does everything have to come back to Barcelona when he has an opinion on the club he supports?

Alberto Aquilani's agent has claimed a deal is in place with Liverpool to take the midfielder to Fiorentina.

The 27-year-old Italy international, a £17m signing from Roma in 2009, appears surplus to requirements at Anfield and is widely expected to join La Viola on a season-long loan.

Aquilani's agent, Franco Zavaglia, has revealed the deal now hinges only on the player agreeing personal terms with the Serie A club.

"The agreement between Fiorentina and Alberto has not yet been reached," Zavaglia told Gazzetta dello Sport. "If we talk of an agreement, that was only reached between the two clubs, because Fiorentina did not come to any decision with us."

Aquilani has failed to settle at Liverpool since signing a five-year deal following his big-money arrival two years ago. He has made just 28 appearances for the club and spent last season on loan at Juventus.

Real shame for Liverpool who are now in tatters.

    Opinions?
Seen better players leave Liverpool, and if he wants to leave good luck to him. But i think i will listen to a better judge than you, about what state Liverpool football club is in. Maybe you should worry about your own Club, but then again you post more about Liverpool than Arsenal.

    He's right though.

Thats his and your opinion which is fair enough, but maybe give the players that have signed a chance to see how good or bad they are going to be. Fuck me they have not even played one competitive game and they are shit signings. I will give them a chance before im going to say too much about them, and we dont know all the ins and outs of what is going on with Aquilani, if he wants to go back and play in Italy thats fair enough, and if Dalglish has known this he cant change his all his plans to wait and see what certain players are going to do.

It his decision what he wants to do and its up to him who he signs and plays, and if it does not work out well then have a go at Dalglish and the players if they dont perform, but at least give Dalglish and the players time then that would be fair enough if people want to have a go.
