If your club could sign one player, who would it be and why?

We have been linked with Wesley Sneidjer as well and I would prefer him but Modric will be a lot cheaper and his wages are a lot less so maybe going for Modric would be the more sensible option.

Another positive thing about Modric is that he is already proven in the Premier League with Tottenham and has shown us that he is able to handle the physical nature of our game. If he played abroad, some people here would probably start saying that he would get ripped apart by some of toughest defences in this league.

Was excellent when he was with us in 08/09, and is a good attacking player, him and Spider would work well.

Yep, Suarez sounds like the sort of player who'd want to join a team of chokers. We don't quite fit that description so he took a gamble and joined us. Obviously he wants out, but Arsenal would be a step sideways, even down.

I reckon Liverpool are every bit as much of a team of 'chokers' or 'bottlers' as Arsenal. At the start of the season they were in contention for 4 competitions, when the pressure was on against Northampton, they bottled it, in the FA Cup against United, bottled it and blamed it on the referee (a lot like Arsenal), Europa League against Braga, bottled it.

In fact, Liverpool's only good form this season has come when they've had nothing to play for, as soon as it came to look like they might qualify for the Europa League, they capitulated to a home defeat against Tottenham and later lost against Aston Villa.
