Not too good. But it's my first day. I smoked normally up till 1.30pm. That's when I decided to quit. I went till 5:30pm and thought I might as well smoke my last one so it can't tempt me in the future. Then I went without one till just gone 11pm, I went to speak to a mate and nicked one off him. Now I just had one.

That's not too bad. There's like 10 hours of going without a cigarette in there. I slept for like 9 of the other hours in the day. That's 19/24 hours not smoking.

So I actually see today as a small success. I'll try to go the whole day tomorrow.

To be honest, that is pathetic. Since when has mediocrity been an ambition?

Rubbish. It's all in the mind. My Grandad had immense willpower, he gave up smoking overnight. Yet, he wants to give up drinking (he has a whiskey every night - so it's not anything bad) but he can't. It's the way the mind works. People think 'willpower' is a collective term, it isn't.

Ry, gave me mate a ring and he said he just ate loads of chocolate whenever he got a craving. Ate so much he started till he started feeling sick and he wouldn't crave one. Apparently, he now associates a cigarette with feeling ill, so whenever someone smokes around him, he feels sick. So you might not want to go down that route.

Willpower is in the mind. It's not in your cock anyway Neutral......

To be honest I think the best option for quitting anything is to go cold turkey, just don't smoke, and don't cheat. Dont even hang around with smoker or go into liquor stores where you usually buy your smokes.

Personally I'm a smoker and don't intend on ever quitting. Although I only smoke occasionally, once every other month or so.

I don't want to jinx it, but I feel really good about it today.

I'm going to buy a load of lollies soon. Lollies are good for quitting. I'm going for a run soon aswell.

I've been up for like 3 hours and haven't had one yet. I haven't really had any serious cravings either. I think this is probably the longest I've gone without a morning fag since I started.

My Dad wanted to stop for ages, but only finally did it when I was born, I'm made up that he did because I never remember him smoking, and I would hate the smell of it around the house anyway.

Well, I did it. Providing I don't find a cigarette from now until I sleep, today is the first day in over 5 years that I have not smoked.

Today was the hardest yet. I was fine untill about 4/5 then I kept thinking about smoking. Just little things I did which I would normally smoke after. Cup of tea etc.

From about 8 I've been getting stressy. Been thinking of smashing my laptop etc. I've been thinking of find old tobacco packs and trying to make a rolly facepalm

I'm still dying for one now. I just want to go sleep and get today over with.

At least I've fought through it.

To not smoke any is pretty great.

Try not to give in for as long as possible, if you feel like you're actually gonna have one just try and wait like another 30 minutes and then in 30 minutes see if you can wait another 30 and so on. That's how my mum quit.

I keep thinking it's not worth it and thinking about smoking in the future even if I do quit.

    My head's fucked atm.

I think if I had a cigarette at hand right now, I'd smoke it.
