I'd like to rescind my offer. Reason: too lazy to type a paragraph on why I should mod.

We are looking for someone who...
- Actually wants to be a moderator
- Can take criticism well
- Is an active member
- Is a well respected member of the community
What will be expected of you as a Moderator:
- Move or lock off topic threads
- Keep the forum clean by deleting spam
- Distribute warnings/bans when necessary and record them manually
- Remain calm and avoid involving yourself in arguments
- Avoid excessive use of profanity, you are supposed to be setting an example
- Try your best and do what is necessary to defuse tense situations
- Be stern but fair with your moderating responsibility I can do all of these easily. I know I have a slim chance of me being a moderator but I can..and will change if I do become one

Re: Moderator Applications
Why do you want to become a moderator? To stop the pointless trolling, and to improve the Playmaker. Also, many unappropriated things get posted which have been left and no action has been against user. Plus am respected by many on here, from all backgrounds. Also I have experience as being a forum admin/moderator on a busy forum.
How do you feel the forum will benefit from having you as a moderator? They know, that i will moderate properly, and not turn a blind eye. Plus they can freely come to me, and discus anything from help, to users being abusive. The forum will know that I will be fair to everyone (Put footballing ties aside), and not abuse my power as a moderator.
Between which hours (GMT) do you think you spend the most time on this forum? I'm on here all the time. But my timezone is GMT.
and probably the most important...
How do/will you respond to negative comments towards you from other members. If it is to do with footballing side, it is there opinion, this is a footballing forum. But abuse it Depends on the situation. Common sense is used in these cases. Mainly I would ignore it or try to sort it out using PM's, but if the user has went past the line, I will use the correct procedure Ie: warnings.

I know a lot of you people who are applying have personal grudges against me, I hope if you are successful you won't allow them to influence you. If I am successful, it is beyond any doubt that I won't be influenced by any bias.

How do you feel the forum will benefit from having you as a moderator? I will not be bias to any members or get into petty arguments very often.

About 17:00 to 00:00.

I'm willing to accept any criticism as long as it's constructed and the person has a valid reason for it. I will then take it on board to improve whatever aspect that they want.
I reckon Ced would be a good moderator btw.

Re: Moderator Applications
Dean should have been banned for a week or something and put on a Final warning, Polska should have received some small warning, what Dean said was well beyond what's acceptable.

I've literally only just seen it, another mod read the reports and it automatically marks them as read so I didn't see the need to double check it. Although your post, along with a few others did bring it to my attention.

No. I'd imagine this is going to take this thread way off topic, so if you have any other questions PM me rather than posting them in here.

Because they realise how good I'd be, they're not blinded by hate like you are. I'm controversial, but above all I'm honest and fair, I believe forums are an excellent tool for expression when run properly, and I care about this forum being properly run. Look at how I campaigned in favour of Liam B not being banned some months ago, I argue for what I believe is right, and if you were banned in similar circumstances, I would argue in the same way for you.

You are so far off the mark here it's unbelievable. If I did start doing that I wouldn't last very long as a moderator would I?
