I am failing to find any facts that Ronaldo and Messi are strikers

The president of Real Madrid has referred to Ronaldo as a striker. La Liga calls Messi "the best striker in all of Europe." Some of you guys are too static with your terminologies sometimes. We end up arguing for pages over who's called what. It's lame. They play up front. They bang in goals like pornstars bang in pussies. They're fucking strikers. Christ.

Real Madrid refers to Ronaldo as a striker because he has been played as one this season. Straight forward really.

And by that quote, they obviously mean best forward. Messi is a forward no question. However, he is not a striker. He plays in the midfield and moves forward. many forwards do (wingers, attacking midfielders, inside forwards etc.) A striker plays upfront. Key difference.
