Is seems likely that next season for the first time in the premier league history, and first since the mid 1980s that a Welsh team will be in the English top divison. Currently Cardiff City is in an automatic promotion position and Swansea City are in a playoffs spot. I am curious what everyone's thoughts if this happens.

Don't think either will go up. Cardiff always fuck it up somehow, and I don't think Swansea are good enough to go up this season.

I think they should have their league but it is irrelevant now. Why does this discussing pop up now they can go in the PL. You do realise all the leagues are meant to be English.

One thing that has annoyed me is if Cardiff won the FA Cup the other year they would've been allowed in Europe.
Years ago we joined the Welsh FA Cup so we could actually be competitive and we won the Cup, we wasn't allowed to take the prize europeon spot because we were english.

I can somewhat get what you are saying but it is not really the same. Cardiff plays in the English league system so while they are from Wales they are in the English system and play against English teams on a regular basis and belong to that system. When English teams on the boarder entered in the Welsh Cup it was different because they were not in the Welsh football system.
