Scotty, you cannot deny they were sensational that season. They got 90 points.

They fought us off, any other year, our points tally would've won us the league. The reason we lost it was because they were so good.

I honestly believe that United had one of their best ever squads in the 08/09 season, they were truely sensational. Liverpool did very well to keep the title race alive untill the penultimate week of the season.

Why did Torres put five fingers up after he scored against Man United btw? I was told before, but I've forgotten?

Did he score five against them at that point or something?

Torres had nothing to do with us winning the Champions League. Bit weird that he would put five fingers up. That's not the reason I was told before though.

Neither did Carra's little lad, didn't stop him doing it to Chelsea fans last season.

He plays for us, they were giving him abuse. He knows his history.

What with some of the refereeing decisions and comebacks, a la Spurs (you got a penalty that wasn't a penalty, which stemmed your ridiculous comeback Spurs gifted you that game) And the two late goals against Aston Villa, etc. Man United had lady luck on their side.

if you play with high intensity for the full 90mins putting the ball in dangerous positions and have players who can change the outcome of games I don't call that luck. Just playing the % game regarding shots and crosses we're bound to win more games than most.
