Even 8 in our last 7 games isn't impressive though.

Weve conceded about 7 goals and scored 7 in the last 5 league matches, though. :s

We've let in 24 goals in the League.

Arsenal have let in 22

Spurs have let in 23

Man United have let in 18.

Chelsea have let in 18, same as United.

All of them are quite far ahead of us in the table, yet we haven't conceded a vast amount more goals than them. This tells us that the problems lies in our inability to score as many goals as them. I'll prove it.

THAT'S what I call a vast difference.

I think it's safe to say we need to focus on making purchases that will help us to score more goals, rather than central defenders.

If we want to improve then we need to look at were the problems are coming from when we lose a game. The major one is at the back four, the next is upfront.

There's only a problem upfront because the team is pushed back covering in the defence.

Yh, thats the point i was trying to get across. 7 Goals conceded is very mediocre, yet apparently we've not been conceding that much, recently.

Not really. We had Alonso then, he was a massive part of the build up to our attacks, with his inch perfect passes. And we had Reira, who when playing, played a big part in our attack, as did Pennant. Also, Gerrard and Torres were injury free and on the form of their life.

Improve your defence and you will score more anyway. Team doesn't drop as deep, attacks are built from the back better too.
