Liguilla ready. America defeated UNAM, Chivas the worst of the bunch at #8. UANL best team.

13 goals! And he's not even a forward/striker.
Rather play Morelia than Pumas again. Hate their game times, at Noon, it sucks.

Guadalajara 3-1 UANL
Cruz Azul 2-1 Atlante
Monterrey 3-1 UNAM
America 1-2 Morelia
America will over-turn this. Expect a few surprises.

Second leg results.
UANL Tigres 1-1 Guadalajara
Atlante 0-0 Cruz Azul
Pumas 2-0 Monterrey
Morelia 3-2 America
Scores on aggregate:
Guadalajara 4-2 Tigres
Cruz Azul 2-1 Atlante
Pumas 3-3 Monterrey(Pumas head to the semis because of their higher position on the table)
Morelia 5-3 America

Shame about America was hoping we'd be able to meet in the final and destroy them again. Their team's whole defense is embarrassing by the way, this season they've conceded 33 goals in just 19 matches.

Re: Primera División de México
Was hoping to see America win a 2nd clasico final, myself.
Nonetheless there's a bit of work to go which is the bright side of being eliminated. Hoping this is the end of Bauwer. There was supposed to be a bit of a clean-up in the clubs head. Need to stop buying so many disappointing players who don't feel up to the task (Oliviera, Vuoso) and the defense just terrible, including Ochoa who isn't what he used to be years ago. What happened to him >_>

Re: Primera División de México
We need a new CB, RB, ST and a CM...Don't know why we bought Vuoso again. He's playing exactly like he was the first time we bought him, we need Jackson Martinez.
Bauer is fine, the bigger problem is Ordiales i think.

Re: Primera División de México
I missed both games. Sucks because I hear both were great.
I'll probably watch them later.
Anyhow Pumas - Morelia final.
I hope Pumas win, if Cruz Azul had made the final I'd wan't them to win it though.
Although if Morelia win I can tell people the league is competitive because non of the big 4 won it.

Yeah. Lost count with the DT & team assistants. Only three players and god knows the rest. But it was all because of some clown who thought it would be funny to shake hands with a Cruz Azul player after the 3rd goal

3:15 for an exceptional headbutt.

Re: Primera División de México
Yeah, I saw the head butt, and that he was replaced by Orozco in the Gold Cup squad. I think that was a classy move from management there. I wouldn't want anyone like that jepordizing my team's chances at winning either.

Re: Primera División de México
I was going to post that in the Gold Cup thread but couldn't find it.
Corona has schizophrenia or something, at first he's the one trying to calm everyone down and pulled the fan away from the people trying to knock his block off and then he does a finishing move on the physical therapist.
To be fair that guy sucker punched one of his teamates, still shouldn't have done it. Missed out on the World Cup too because of his temper, beat some guy up in a nightclub and then blamed his cousin.
The sad thing, he is probably the best keeper in Mexico right now. Don't have too much confidence in the keepers called up right now.

Hopefully they, Queretaro, start Liborio. Would be nice to see him start a full season to see if he is really going to be Mexico's possible future goalkeeper. He had extremely opposite performances in the league, and was amazing in Libertadores.
Santos signed Hoyos. Looks to be a good defender, but I don't really like the idea of taking up two foreign player spots on central defenders when we just signed Galindo.

Re: Primera División de México
Yeah, doesn't make much sense but there is always the possibility you'll play with three centrales. You certainly have the players to do that. Galindo might also not be match fit right now.SophisticatedBeggar wrote:Hopefully they, Queretaro, start Liborio. Feel bad for Figueroa, he's been a very good servant to the club. Will probably fall lower in the pecking order now.
He's a bit of a club favorite in Torreon isn't he? I know he's a local boy.
I'm not sure but I think La Mona, Cepillo, and Mares are also local boys, kinda cool when a team has players from the area playing for them.

Yeah, I really like Figueroa. He, and Guti, are our hardest workers. A 5 line doesn't sound too bad actually

Well the general population is pretty dumb if you think about it. But 64%? Guessing cause he wasn't playing for any of the more popular teams.
Any how, is he really going to Tottenham? Couldn't find anything official.

I hope Jackson has a healthy season for once. Also Wason Renteria signed to Cruz Azul, I hope he does well. Last but not least trouble maker Dayro Moreno will spend his season in Tijuana. That is all folks.
