Re: Primera División de México
Besides that lucky goal, we actually played pretty decent, not great. This season is over for us, best to concentrate on how to play as a damn team.

Why did they do that?
As if it didn't happen enough in their country already.

Fabian keeps showing us how much of an idiot he is.
It's all right though Chivas are against violence.

I know right, Chivas probably aren't go to do anything to punish Medina or Narco Fabian. Wouldn't be surprised if they do it after the game against America.

Been quiet, these forums are sinking. Not like they were ever good
Chivas will win Apertura 2011, comfortably.

I know right, the types of threads that are posted here are ridiculous.
The top ranked team has a history of choking in the playoffs. I'd say either Tigres or Jaguares wins this.

Re: Primera División de México
Enriquez with a big goal at the end. and Cruz Azul- Morelia was a very good match.
I think Jaguares is going to eliminate us, but I hope not. I just don't see our defense being able to handle their forwards. If Jaguares does get past us, I think they are pretty good contenders for the title.

Only saw the Queretaro match, forgot the other one was right after. All four matchups look pretty interesting this season imo.
Santos could have a hard time with Jackson and Arizala.

Chivas
Morelia(the Sabah, Lugo partnership is underrated)
Santos(this is more of a hopefully, I actually think Jaguares has a better shot, their strike force is pretty good and the midfield is good too, it's only their defense that lets them down)
Tigres(defence=rock)

Cepillo.
Should of been our starting striker in Copa America. Also, would of easily been top scorer in the leauge if it wasn't for being so busy scoring like ten goals at Panamericanos.
Enriquez had three teeth knocked lose during the play. #warrior.

Santos collapsed in a span of 8 minutes. Jackson and Arizala are a deadly strikeforce.
Tigres up 1-0 now. Paleta will come to the rescue.

Chivas still has a great chance to advance.
And to answer your question.
Miguel Angel Ponce - Chivas(I think you've lost this one forever though)
Johnathan Bornstein - Tigres
Jose Fransico Torres - Pachuca
Ernest Nungari(sp?) - Morelia
Gustavo Ruelas - Jagaures

That's exactly what America needs, another slow defender with bad knees on top of that.

Tigres v Queretaro
Santos v Morelia
predictions?
Tigres vs Santos for the final. Don't see Queretaro upsetting Tigres, and Morelia could beat Santos but I hope not.

Re: Primera División de México
Pretty much all my predictions from the beginning of the year has come true.
I predicted that America would fall apart in the locker room and have a bad season. It happened.
I predicted that Chivas would get into the liguilla with their strong defense but would be let down by their lack of scoring. Also happened.
I aslo predicted that Peralta would score more goals than Benitez.
I'm like the brujo mayor.
Also explains why I'm pretty good at football manager.

The curse of being #1 continues. I'd like Morelia or Queretaro to win, but Tigres are playing great right now and look hard to stop.

Re: Primera División de México
The Torrance terror. (he's a Torrance native, I lived in that town for a short while before moving to Carson(which coincidentally is like 5 minutes away from Torrance)
He's was a home grown player(also played for UCLA, in Irving and in Pomona) so even though he's not the best footballer in the world he is pretty well liked by the local Chivas USA fans.
Hasn't had much luck at Tigres unfortunately. He would of been a great signing for a second division team(which has not too long ago picked up a few MLS vets in the likes of Luciano Emilio and Carlos Ruiz, you might remember the two from their exploits with DC United and LA Galaxy)
Speaking of the Liga de Acenso anybody else keeping up to date with it.
Torros Neza and Leon just eliminated Necaxa and Irapuato respectively. Great news for Mexican football!

Re: Primera División de México
I don't get how it works. There is an Apertura & Clausura and the winner of the Clausura passes so what's the point of Apertura? Points system? No idea. Anyway I wouldn't mind Necaxa or Leon, UAG has to go down...as soon as possible.

Re: Primera División de México
Apertura champion faces off against Clausura champion and whoever wins gets promoted. If you win both you get promoted automatically. As far as I know only two teams have ever done that, Tigres in 97 and Irapuato in 2000.
Thankfully, Necaxa are with no possibilities of being promoted. Leon is the Cruz Azul of the second division(as in they choke when it matters)
Teams that should not be in the first division are San Luis and Jaguares. If FIFA had any balls they wouldn't be.
