Copa America 2015
Kicks off Thursday night - Friday morning UK time. All matches streamed on YouTube which is nice although the corrolary to that is that European broadcasters don't get to dictate the kick off times which are less than convenient for a European audience who work for a living. Still, we have a few people based in that time zone, recent graduates and sponges on this forum so there should be some level of interest.

Well that proves that theory. You are just as dumb in the morning as you are the rest of the day. I always wondered.

I've been duped. You can see why though. The real RR would say the same thing.

Re: Copa America 2015
So it turns out this isn't on YouTube, it's on some obscure channel called Premier Sports in the UK. Also on Paddy Power TV. Columbia currently playing Vanezuela, Falcao stinking the stadium out.

Re: Copa America 2015
Here's one person's take on what Falcao does to Colombia.
Pekerman once had a problem. He decided Falcao couldn't play as lone striker. Playing him meant playing two, which left them lacking in mid. Then he lost Falcao & was presented a solution: James was unshackled & stared. Now Falcao back, front 2 back, old prob returns

Re: Copa America 2015
I'm not sure about that, but he certainly can't play as a loan striker.
4-4-2 is pretty much dead at the highest level unless you want to play a counter-attacking game, at least one of your forwards is extremely movile or one of the two drops back so much as to be an attacking midfielder. You just lose too much of the rest of the game.

Did Michael have an article about it? What I read was from twitter. Wonder if one swiped from another.

Heard that Aldrete might be out injured for the rest of the tournament though.

Maybe it'll be a blessing in disguise like with Marquez getting injured.

Tom Marshall said he's been Mexico's best performer so far this tournament though! The game was quite exciting to watch.

Re: Copa America 2015
He was good against Chile, not so much against Bolivia. To be honest I just wanted to have a little dig at Rafa 'cause I'm kinda fed up with him still being called up. He just can't keep up anymore, or at least when playing center back, for the 3 seconds that he was playing in midfield against Bolivia before his old brittle bones gave out, he didn't look too bad.
Also looks like Aldrete is out for two or three weeks.
Man, I've been reflecting on yesterday's match and it makes the Bolivia match even more disappointing.

I heard that he'll be allowed to continue playing in the Copa America, was kinda expecting he'd be disciplined by Chile, but I guess not.

He should have been, but he's far too important for them to suspend him.

Re: Copa America 2015
Apparently in the video he told the cops that they were going to fuck up all of Chile (or something like that) for arresting him. Not the brightest bulb after he wrecked his car while drinking and driving. But his only punishment is that he had his license revoked for some amount of time, and he has to check in monthly at the Chile consulate once a month in Milan.
Now that's a proper punishment.

Yup, he definitely said that fucking up all of Chile thing, well if it's him speaking on the video anyways.Scuba Steve wrote:Apparently in the video he told the cops that they were going to fuck up all of Chile (or something like that) for arresting him. Re: Copa America 2015
That was a disappointing match. James and Neymar, the two players I wanted to see, were tepid. The only interesting bit was the fight at the end that beinSport failed to show live because they had to advertise shaving cream or something.
Also, I had no idea that Richard Keys and Andy Gray work for beinSport.

Re: Copa America 2015
Neymar suspended two games for his antics at the end of the Colombia game. So if Brazil holds it together as well this year without him as they did last year.......
Though Brazil would still probably qualify even if they dropped the ball against Venezuela.

Re: Copa America 2015
That's really difficult to say at this moment in time.
That is the bracket. It involves allowing the two best 3rd placed teams to advance.
As of now the standings are:
Group A
Group B
Group C
So it's up in the air.
