No doubt by September people will be predicting Arsenal to drop out of the top four for the 676894th time.

We are such fucking bottlers. Anytime we have a chance to end with a respectable league position we fuck it up.

His performances have been top class since he came back into the team which was a good few months ago, and he's had good performances against all teams in the top 4, so is he at the point where he's moved beyond a stop gap solution until the summer and actually a guaranteed name in the starting XI when fit?
Definitely. I can't even think of many players who we could sign that would start over him. I actual prefer him to Schneiderlin who we were all crying for a few months ago. Still need to sign a defensive midfielder as backup and keep Flamini as third choice.

I'm pretty confident they would have done OK if they'd kept Sanchez.

You can't really talk. When Suarez was at Liverpool, you were pretty much the most anti-Suarez poster on the forum. Dickhead. Suarez has been absolutely pivotal in your domestic treble win.

Probably wouldn't have won the treble, though. Suarez played a huge part in that, with important winning goals.
I remember when people said Suarez doesn't turn up in the big games Probably Keyser, knowing him.
Scored 25 goals in 43 appearances in his first season there. Those are better numbers than Sanchez has posted anywhere in his whole career.
Barcelona look like the best team in Europe again and it's no coincidence that this has happened after signing Suarez.
He singlehandedly nearly won an average Liverpool side the League, ffs. Sanchez couldn't even do that with players like Ozil alongside him.
He'll be even better next season, too. Might even keep up with Messi's numbers.

I disagree though, Barca would've still done this if they had Sanchez rather than Suarez it just cost them 30 million more.

Yeah, that's why they did it last season too.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
I think I said he stat padded against smaller clubs at Liverpool compared to bigger teams. Which was I think true.
He scored 47 of his 89 Liverpool goals against Norwich, Sunderland, Wigan, Stoke, Fulham WBA, QPR, Cardiff.
Played 6 games against City, scored 1.
Played 7 games against United, scored 2.
Played 8 games against Arsenal, scored 2.
Played 7 games against Chelsea, scored 2.
Yeah it was true
But I've always liked him. Called him the best player in the PL during his last two seasons at Liverpool.

I was only against Suarez's behavioral problems. I've never denied his talent as a footballer and he was pivotal for Barcelona this season. I don't think Sanchez could have done as good or better than Suarez did this season. It was money well spent I believe. Had Suarez done anything stupid like he did in the past, then it would be different.

This wasn't an OK season for Barcelona. This was a great season. So yeah, I agree that if we had kept Sanchez, we would have not done as well. Turned out not to be such a criminal transfer after all.

Imagine if justice had won out and the transfer ban had been implemented on time. Once again Barcelona gets gifted a treble.

Several people ITT have said/implied Barca wouldn't have won the treble without Suarez. You're just saying it because Sanchez is an Arsenal player now
Like I said, Suarez led a shit Liverpool side to a near PL win. Sanchez could only assist Arsenal to third place in the League, with better players around him.
Suarez > Sanchez, it's not even a contest.

Oh fuck off with that lazy theory!
It's not a conparison of Suarez/Sanchez , both would've been good enough for Barca to win the treble. Sorry to burst your bubble but Suarez isn't the reason Barcelona are killing it, it's all about Messi being sick again.

I think a Barca fan would probably have a better idea of it than you, tbh.

Jack Wheelchair fined £40,000 and "severely warned" for saying Tottenham are shit while he was on that bus. Generally I support anything that makes that man miserable, but this is political correctness gone mad.

We have a good striker, we need a backup striker. Don't underestimate Giroud, for our system he works and he'll get 20+ goals this season baring injury. We needed a backup CB, but, with Sagna doing a job we can make do, and Flamini. A striker was more important, Bendtner will get games now.
