That's how I found out and I'm pretty sure it is. I remember asking him about a year ago if he was Pakistani because of something he'd posted and he denied it a little too much so I had a feeling he was (or at least Muslim). Then his "FreePalestine" location and the incident when he defended Ozil so fervently for being a sinful Muslim pretty much confirmed it. It seems like adding "7" is his thing and why would you put a name like "Ahmed" if it wasn't yours? It's not a throwaway name like John or Bob, it's fairly specific.

It can help to prevent trouser legs from getting creased at the bottom while also giving a slightly hipsterish look. Have never done it myself.

i've had such a brutal semester academically. i've skipped so many assignments just to maintain my grades and now my final exams are worth so much. facepalm

i've skipped around 4-5 "major" assignments this semester and copped out by just faking sick and getting a medical certificate from the Indian walk-in clinic. the last time I went they referred me to an Infections Disease specialist (i said i've had stomach pains for the past few weeks to keep a consistent story) and I was like WTF.

in one of my classes, my final exam is worth 70% of my final grade facepalm

Having reread it, I think he means that he's gotten exemptions, but they value his final exams more heavily now. Very irresponsible. First the phone, now this-I'm starting to wonder how he's made it this far.

Post by vel Fri Dec 05, 2014 5:23 am

because i don't think i'll do well so i don't want to risk my grade. this is taken from my course outline:

    Chat Thread - Page 14 3096db3e5154d0168d0abcfffa600104

so i skipped Test #2 because i didn't think i was well-prepared and i didn't want my mark to drop from 83% to a 70 because it would be a bitch to bring back up. i got a medical certificate and i submitted it. the second part:

    Chat Thread - Page 14 71bfa673491ad2ddbbb3d5f2bed0ab1b

so the weight of the second test is added onto the weight of the exam. so instead of my final being worth 50%, it's worth 70%. it's risk-reward basically, i'm taking a huge risk in making my final worth 70% of my grade. if i kill it, my mark will increase a lot. if i fuck up, my mark will go down like your mom every tuesday.

if i get 60% on my final, my mark will be this:

    Chat Thread - Page 14 1c667695a1634497e608e212455811c1

if i get 95% on my final, my mark will be this:

    Chat Thread - Page 14 Bf593f56b2d7c8aaea67deef008e3004

    worth the risk imo

    brb "brutal semester"
    brb skipped 4-5 "major" assignments
    brb

If you've skipped so many assignments how has it been brutal? Personally I wouldn't allow an exam (or any one component of a module) to be worth 70% of my final mark if I could alleviate it through coursework.
