because i don't think i'll do well so i don't want to risk my grade. this is taken from my course outline:
so i skipped Test #2 because i didn't think i was well-prepared and i didn't want my mark to drop from 83% to a 70 because it would be a bitch to bring back up. i got a medical certificate and i submitted it. the second part:
so the weight of the second test is added onto the weight of the exam. so instead of my final being worth 50%, it's worth 70%. it's risk-reward basically, i'm taking a huge risk in making my final worth 70% of my grade. if i kill it, my mark will increase a lot. if i fuck up, my mark will go down like your mom every tuesday.
if i get 60% on my final, my mark will be this:
if i get 95% on my final, my mark will be this:
worth the risk imo
