I almost feel bad about those people getting fired. Life is already difficult enough, more so if you lack an education (a lot of times not their fault) losing your job is potentially life ruining for those people.

Of course you should know better, but do you really think that causing someone the massive financial hardship of losing an already shit job with no chance of a good reference and the humiliation of having it plastered all over the internet is a fair or proportionate punishment? Racists are still people, they still suffer.
