Yes, he was another future Van Basten at Liverpool until we realized that even the SPL was a level or two too high for him.Free_Mustache_Rides wrote:Does anyone remember a young player named Michael Ngoo?

Have you seen the recent comments he made in an interview with Playboy? It's probably best that we avoid having Gary Oldman Week for a while.

You could find those comments on any entertainment news site. He basically supported Mel Gibson's anti-semitism by saying that it's okay because basically everyone has been racist a couple of times in their lives. He also went on a rant against political correctness, kind of making an ass out of himself in the process.

I'm okay with his being a nasty racist, but giving an interview to Playboy just crosses into territory that I don't like.

I wouldn't go as far as calling him a nasty racist, he just seems horribly ill-informed. Oh, and I'm sure Playboy have conducted interviews with countless people of which you are a fan.

I just read the comments, he seems to think there is a conspiracy. I seriously doubt that I am a fan of anyone with links to filthy LAD mags like Playboy.Ra's al Ghul wrote:Glen Miller wrote:

I was thinking about the u-20 world cup from a while ago and was looking at the squads to see where everyone ended up and his named seemed familiar.Glen Miller wrote:Yes, he was another future Van Basten at Liverpool until we realized that even the SPL was a level or two too high for him.Free_Mustache_Rides wrote:Does anyone remember a young player named Michael Ngoo?

I kinda feel bad now, because at the time I said he was the worst player in the competition, that I couldn't believe he was a professional football player, and that he looked like a donkey.
It's the worst thing I've ever said about a professional footballer and now I'm a bit guilt ridden about it.

Everyone famous has probably done most drugs at least once.

So he told the truth, then. Everyone has been racist a couple of times in their lives, it's a fact. Look at the US Census.

At 5:52 Russell Brand thought of me for a few seconds of his existence.

Look at Russell trying to think of big words to make himself appear witty. What an unbearable individual.

I can see why people don't like him, but I really do. I didn't at first and I can't remember what changed my mind. Both his books are good though.

Probably. I know he has an appreciation of their life because of his time as an addict.

By far the greatest character on the show. I bet he has an affair or kills McNulty in an upcoming episode since I've posted that.Keyser Söze wrote:LesterGlen Miller wrote: Look at Russell trying to think of big words to make himself appear witty. What an unbearable individual.

This is me assuming you're only on the 1st season, but I think Omar, Bunk and Rawls are slightly better. Later on you'll meet Kenard and undoubtedly be blown away by his brilliance.
I'm not sure how far in you are but about midway in the 1st season Lester drops that mysterious vibe that makes him so cool early on, but he's still got enough about him to be an excellent character throughout.

D'Angelo is my favourite character from season 1 and probably in my top five for the entire series. Very few characters in television come close to matching his complexity. It's no surprise to see Glen think Lester is the best character, though. He only judges characters by his moral standards.

My friend, I was about to say that D'Angelo is the most interesting character. Stringer is a character of incredible depth and dimensions, no doubt because he is acted out by perhaps the greatest performer of his generation. Lester transitions from "disconnected genius" to "wise old head" a bit too quickly for my liking, but he is still exceptional. By whose standards would you rather I judge characters? Danny Ball's? Yours?Ra's al Ghul wrote:D'Angelo is my favourite character from season 1 and probably in my top five for the entire series. Very few characters in television come close to matching his complexity.
