The same, although Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead are very close for me. TWE was okay, but a step down from the other two.

My memory of SOTD is tainted by the fact that I watched it with my grandmother who repeated "that's really not very nice" after every swear word.

I had seen Youtube clips + the film and was overwhelmed, then my (I think they are, can never be quite sure) friends at university said, "you're British, there's this great British comedy with some great wit that you will love because you are British," so I watched a few episodes.

I prefer TWE over SOTD. I'm not a big zombie fan. Hot Fuzz definitely the best.

I can't speak for myself, I put on an American accent because I want to be judged by the content of my character and not my accent.

I do have a few English friends, however, and they tell me that it does get them a lot of attention, although what they describe as "an alarming proportion of them" are "freakish Anglophiles who read Jane Austen novels and watch Doctor Who reruns all day" (their words and their experiences, not mine).

Zzonked, I was looking through the GOAT songwriter Ray Davies' work and saw that "Strangers" is on Darjeeling Limited, which, as I do with all movies, I searched the PM for and found you have watched it.  Do you remember it, and do you still recommend it?

I love the Darjeeling Limited. Have you watched Wes Anderson films before? He uses a lot of tracks from The Kinks.

I've only seen The Fantastic Mr. Fox, if that counts.  A decent film, but I wasn't a fan of how far they drifted from the book.

The movie sounds like it fits the song perfectly & vice versa, and I enjoy films that are slightly sentimental with a blend of depression, humor, and hope.

Fairly accurate description of most Wes Anderson films. The sentiment of his characters is my favourite bit though, most of them seem like pretty nice people.

I buy that. American's love their Brits. That wedding that happened a while back was on the news like 24 seven.
