I doubt Can will happen, it just sounds like another Salah deal where we are "in advanced negotiations" for weeks before nothing happens. It might be a good thing in this case.

That was from the same season, I believe. A high-point for our football kits, a low-point for our football.

It won't. Bayern Munich have blocked our move apparently. We will probably end up with someone like Will Hughes now

Heading for a nightmare draw in the UCL.

As much as I'd like to see us take the easy route, playing the likes of Dortmund and Real would be great to watch.

This. I want us to play against the big boys straight away. Just to witness it again.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Seriously? I would prefer Porto, Basel, and Copenhagen so we can improve our coefficient. Dortmund and Real would just condemn us to the Europa League and completely mess up our league campaign.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Finishing third in your group is better than finishing first or second as far as the coefficient is concerned, you get more chances to improve it against easier opponents, and its pretty much equal coefficient points per game to the UCL. That's why clubs like Benfica and Porto have top seedings while clubs like Borussia Dortmund, Paris and Juventus don't.

That's true, but how seriously would we take the competition? It would all depend on how our league campaign was progressing.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Very seriously I imagine, considering the carrot of a UCL place at the end of it, although the rest of Europe will probably take it more seriously as well.

Liverpool would get demolished by Sevilla or Valencia in the EL. Don't kid yourself. English teams are AIDS in Europe.

Ordinarily I would probably quip something back, but since I found out you spend most of your time on here arguing on roughly equal terms with someone who is barely a teenager I've very little desire to engage in that sort of thing.

brb not going to quip back

You mean the exact same thing you've been doing for years, also?
The recent picture posting spree you went on in the Liverpool thread was Alan-esque.

It's not so much the arguing that's weird, it's the fact that you haven't wiped him out and sent him off with his tail between his legs, universally regarded as a bell end. You're a hardened internet warrior but in this you're about on par with a 13 year old, having been feuding with him for the past I don't know how many months. I've got involved in some very stupid arguments over the last few years but never so extensive with someone so young.
The picture posting spree was for my own amusement, it served it's purpose. I don't care who it was like.

You're acting like you would be able to do that. You can't send a troll off with his tail between his legs. There will always be a comeback, no matter how stupid it is.
I don't try to chase people off. It's all just for my own entertainment, really. Particularly when I am at work.

I know I'm a stud, but I wasn't sexually active at 12/13 years old.

Alan Nixon of the Mirror is saying that we are close to completing the deal of Emre Can. Also Steven Caulker seems to be on his way to us as well.
